NEW RESEARCH UPDATE -- WATCHING TV SHORTENS LIFESPAN BY 22 MINUTES

Anyone who spends six hours a day in front of the box is at risk of
dying five years sooner than those who enjoy more active pastimes, it
is claimed.
Researchers say that watching too much TV is as dangerous as smoking
or being overweight, and that the "ubiquitous sedentary behaviour"
should be seen as a "public health problem".

Experts from the University of Queensland, Australia, write: "TV
viewing time may have adverse health consequences that rival those of
lack of physical activity, obesity and smoking; every single hour of
TV viewed may shorten life by as much as 22 minutes."

Referring to Australian and American guidelines that suggest children
should spend no more than two hours a day in front of a screen, the
academics conclude: "With further corroborative evidence, a public
health case could be made that adults also need to limit the time
spent watching TV."

Although health campaigners – and parents – have long warned of the
dangers of watching too much television, its effects on life
expectancy have never before been calculated. In a paper published in
the British Journal of Sports Medicine, Dr J Lennert Veerman and
colleagues looked at the results of a survey of 11,247 Australians
taken in 1999-2000, which asked about time spent watching TV, and also
mortality figures for the country. They constructed a model in which
they compared life expectancy for adults who watch TV to those who did
not, and worked out that every hour spent glued to the screen
shortened life by 21.8 minutes.

For those in the top 1 per cent of the population who watch six hours
of programmes a day, they "can expect to live 4.8 years less than a
person who does not watch TV".

The researchers say that watching TV is among the most common forms of
sedentary behaviour, along with sitting in cars."Because TV viewing is
a ubiquitous behaviour that occupies significant portions of adults"
leisure time, its effects are significant for overall population
health."

England's Chief Medical Officer, Sally Davies, said: "Physical
activity offers huge benefits and these studies back what we already
know – that doing a little bit of physical activity each day brings
health benefits and a sedentary lifestyle carries additional risks.

"That's why the UK's Chief Medical Officers recently updated their
advice on physical activity to be more flexible, right from babyhood
to adult life.

"Adults, for example, can get their 150 minutes of activity a week in
sessions of 10 minutes or more and for the first time we have provided
guidelines on reducing sedentary time.

"We hope these studies will help more people realise that there are
many ways to get exercise – activities like walking at a good pace or
digging the garden over can count too."

Maureen Talbot, senior cardiac nurse at the British Heart Foundation,
said: "Sedentary behaviour such as vegging in front of the TV is
practically a cultural institution these days and it's good to relax
for a while, but this study supports the view that too much of it can
be bad for our health.

"Many of us make a conscious decision not to smoke because we know
it's bad for us, and this study suggests that more of us should make
the same kind of pledge about lounging around and watching lots of TV.

"Introducing more activity to our daily lives, whether it's walking to
the shops instead of taking the bus, using the stairs instead of the
lift or taking up active hobbies like sport or gardening mean we won't
spend as much time in front of the TV where we are likely to pile on
the pounds."

THE TEENAGE GIRL WHO HAS TRANSFORMED HERSELF INTO A LIVING CARTOON CHARACTER

Anime fan Anastasiya Shpagina has transformed herself into a living
cartoon character, complete with miniature waist, vividly-coloured
hair, and a cupid's bow pout.

Originally from the Ukraine, the 19-year-old takes style inspiration
from the cartoons and computer animations that have a huge following
in Japan, and has even adopted a Japanese name – Fukkacumi.

Anime characters often feature huge eyes and heads that are
disproportionately large in comparison to their body.

Shpagina, who is just 5ft2ins tall, is already reported to have
slimmed down to just over six stone in her attempts to resemble a
living anime character, and is said to spend 30 minutes painstakingly
applying her dramatic make-up to each one of her eyes.

It is thought Shpagina may go even further in her efforts to achieve
her desired look, with some reports claiming she intends to undergo
surgery on her eyes to make her resemble her anime idols even more
closely.

The teenager, who has over 10,000 fans on Facebook, also posts videos
on YouTube demonstrating how she applies her make-up.

One clip, in which Shpagina reveals to fans how she achieves her
'flower fairy' look, has been watched more than 150,000 times

Shpagina is not the first young girl to take style inspiration from
the world of fantasy. American Dakota Rose – or Kota Koti – has been
dubbed the 'real-life Barbie' thanks to her doe-eyed stare and dainty
proportions.

The teenager has amassed a global audience by posting fashion and
beauty tutorials on YouTube.

Arsenal (Giovincho )1-2 Chelsea: Torres & Mata on target as Blues extend lead at the top

Chelsea extended their lead at the top of the Premier League following
a hugely impressive victory over previously unbeaten Arsenal at
Emirates Stadium.

Spaniards Juan Mata and Fernando Torres were on the scoresheet as
they, temporarily at least, moved four points clear of Manchester
United and created daylight between themselves and their north London
rivals. Chelsea protected their lead with a calmness that suggests
their stay at the Premier League summit may well be a long one.

Up bluessssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MURDER: CHEF MURDERS WIFE, COOKS FOR FOUR DAYS, THEN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE

The wickedness of man is unfathomable, and the horrible things men do
keep one asking why some men are just so wicked to the extent of
taking the life of another.

David and wife when the going was good

Huffington Post reported that a California chef accused of murdering
his wife sometime before she vanished in October 2009, tried to commit
suicide by jumping off an 80-foot cliff in Rancho Palos Verdes after
learning he was being investigated as a suspect.

David Viens was in March 2011 interviewed by detectives from a
hospital bed as he recuperates from his high altitude fall. He stated,
"I just slowly cooked it and I ended up cooking her for four days."

Viens claims to only have kept the skull, telling investigators, "The
skull was the only thing I didn't want to get rid of in case I wanted
to leave it somewhere, it's in my mother's attic."

The incident occurred when Viens accidentally murdered his wife, Dawn
Viens. He tied her to the bed and duct-taped her mouth closed. The
next morning, he was reportedly surprised to find her dead body.

David Viens is scheduled to be sentenced on November 27. If convicted,
he could face 15 years to life in prison.

PHOTOS: WORLD’S FATTEST WOMAN FOUND INNOCENT OF MURDER

A new documentary is set to reveal the astonishing true life story of
a woman who testified falsely to murder but was found innocent on the
grounds that her burgeoning obesity could never have allowed her to
commit the crime.

TLC's Half-Ton Killer? tells of how, in March 2008, Texan Mayra
Rosales, 31, told police officers that she had killed her two-year-old
nephew, Eliseo Jr, by accidentally rolling on top of him while
babysitting.

Such was her 1,100lb frame, Mayra imagined her story to be believable,
but after doctors revealed that the boy could only have died from a
blow to the head, the reality that she was so big she couldn't move
her arm, became her attorney's main argument for her defence.

she uses her feet to perform everyday tasks from driving and putting

Latest News: Woman with two virginas Rejects 1million US Dollars offer to make Adult Film

A woman with two vaginas who has captured the attention of the pórn
industry has said she would never consider accepting any role in a
film. Hazel Jones appeared on TV earlier this week, where she
revealed she was diagnosed with 'uterús didelphys' - a condition which
means she has two wombs and two cervixes.

The 27-year-old has since been approached by Vivid Entertainment, a
U.S. ádult film production company. But the horrified blonde, from
High Wycombe, claims she would turned down any deal.

According to This Morning, she said: 'I have never received any offers
of this kind of work nor would I never consider doing it in a million
years. 'I just want to be left alone.' The response comes after
founder of Vivid Steven Hirsch wrote a letter to Ms Jones offering her
$1m to star in one of his films,

TMZ.com revealed. In the letter, Hirsch wrote: 'You are obviously an
extraordinary woman and I would like to make you an offer to star in
an upcoming Vivid production. 'We would pay you up to $1 million for
your services.' Hirsch also promised to cover travel and accommodation
expenses, as the film would be shot in Los Angeles. Hirsch wrote: 'We
would fly you out to L.A. as soon as you are available and provide you
with first class accommodations'

A spokesperson for Vivid confirmed the offer, saying: 'It's true.
'Steven made an offer to Hazel Jones.' Vivid became the first studio
to introduce celebrity séx tapés, showing footage of Pamela Anderson
and then-husband Tommy Lee and Kim Kardashian. Hazel Jones has yet to
respond to the offer.

But she told ITV's This Morning she was comfortable with having the
condition - despite the fact she had to effectively lose her vírginity
twice. 'Once I found out what it was I told everybody,' she told TV
hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. 'I thought it was
amazing and it's definitely an ice-breaker a tparties' She added: 'If
women want to have a look, I'm quite happy to show them, it's not
something I'm embarrassed by.'

Hazel went to the doctor after her long-term boyfriend told her she
was 'different' in the genital area. Hazel said previously she had
found séx very uncomfortable, but now she didn't suffer any adverse
effects.

She turned down surgery as it could have left significant scartissue.
