I could have died with Gov'Yakowa and Azazi (NSA) - Timi Dakolo

We all know the last month of the year is a special month of
thanksgiving but December will be an extra special month of praises to
God for Timi Dakolo who along with his wife Busola could have died in
today's helicopter crash which claimed the life of the Kaduna State
Governor Patrick Yakowa, a former national security adviser Owoeye
Azazi, and others.

Yonlineng.com gathered that that Dakolo and his wife attended the
burial ceremony of the father of Oronto Douglas, the Special Adviser
on Research and Documentation to President Jonathan.

Dakolo who is expected to perform at the closing ceremony of the
'Rivers State Carnival' (Caniriv), was meant to fly along with
Governor Yakowa, immediate-past National Security Adviser, Andrew
Azazi and four others but opted out, deciding to travel by road at the
last minute.

'Timi is doing okay, he was meant to fly on that chopper but he
didn't. I just got off the phone with him', Tony 'Don T' Anifite, an
executive for Now Muzik, Dakolo's management team tells
www.thenetng.com

Timi Dakolo who missed death by the whiskers took to micro-blogging
site Twitter to douse the fears and give thanks to God. 'God saved
me', he tweeted.

“I May Consider Having Plastic Surgery” – Omotola jolade

Reality TV star and actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has said she may
consider having plastic surgery due to the toll of birthing 4 kids.

The stunning actress made the comment during a recent interview when
asked if she would consider going under the knife for cosmetic
reasons, she replied:

"Seriously I am thinking about it. I have four kids. That has taken
its toll on my body. I am not against plastic surgery as long as
you're not doing it for extremely vain reasons.
If you need it, you should do it. If I see any irregularities in my
body that I cannot control, I will do it."

Governor Yakowa Of Kaduna, Former NSA Azazi Dead In Helicopter Crash

Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State and former National Security
Adviser Andrew Owoye Azazi apparently died in a helicopter that
crashed today in Bayelsa State, a reliable source has told
SaharaReporters.

Governor Yakowa and Mr. Azazi, a retired military general who served
as chief security adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, were among
passengers in the ill-fated helicopter.
Nigeria's National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) had earlier
indicated that the agency had activated a search for a crashed
helicopter.

Our sources had earlier disclosed that the crashed chopper was
carrying "some major political figures." As at the time of going to
press, Saharareporters was unable to confirm the identity of any other
passengers in the ill-fated chopper.

Governor Yakowa and Mr. Azazi were among many political figures who
reportedly attended the burial of the father of senior presidential
aide Oronto Douglas. The funeral event took place in the Nembe area of
Bayelsa State earlier today.  SaharaReporters learnt that the crashed
helicopter was one of several helicopters that some well-connected
people to the funeral.

The crash comes on the heels of a plane crash on October 25, 2012 that
has left Governor Danbaba Suntai of Taraba State brain-damaged. Mr.
Suntai was moved to a hospital in Germany where he remains in poor
shape, unable to recognize his visitors or to speak.

Wizkid - Tuface and I Are The Same ; Never Compete with Davido

About my career

Although I am hardworking, I would not be where I am today if God had
not made it possible. It has been hard work all the way. I am just
thankful to God. Initially, I prayed to God to bless my work. I have
always believed in hard work. If you work hard, you will be rewarded.
I just kept working hard and staying on my lane and doing my thing. I
wouldn't say I saw this success coming.

But I kept praying to God to make it happen for me and He did. I don't
intend to stop now, just because I have achieved this 'little'
success. I am just on my first album.  I am not fulfilled yet. I am
not even close to getting fulfilled. I have not started anything. I
feel that God has a big plan for me. I have to live up to expectation.
That is why I am always working. My album is ready. I dropped my album
last year. It is going to be another two years before I release
another one. The new album reflects a more mature Wizkid at work. I
will be involved in a number of collaborations.

About Empire Mate Entertainment

I am not a greedy person. I am very open with the people I work with.
All the people on the EME label act like members of one family. What
we have is not just a working relationship. I am not scared or worried
about the other artistes signed on to EME. When Banky W and I started
the records label, our dream was to make EME an empire. It was after
my album became successful that we started having new artistes. If
Banky W didn't pull me up, I wouldn't be where I am today. It is all
about talent at EME.

There is no rivalry here. That is not how we work. Before I release
any song, I let my label mates listen to it. Even if there is a beat I
have, I let them listen to it. This is a family thing. We work
together. There is no rivalry among us. If we had any competition, it
would not augur well for the growth of the label. All we have is love.
I am grateful to God for taking us this far. We are not competing with
anybody, even outside EME. We are doing our thing and getting our
money.

Davido and I

There is certainly no friction between Davido and I. We are friends,
just as I am friendly with other Nigerian artistes. I think some
people are just saying what comes to their minds. When I emerged as a
singer, people were comparing me with Wande Coal. The sky is big
enough for every bird to fly.  He (Davido) has not stolen my fans.
Nobody has said that he has lured my fans away. I am still performing
at shows and getting well paid for it. I am not competing with him
either. My fans still show me love. But then, in Nigeria, all of us
actually have the same fans. If I mount the stage, people will scream.
They will do the same thing if Tuface appears on stage, too. This
shows that the sky is big enough for all of us. You cannot be alone in
the music industry. We need more people. This is not a one-man show.

My kind of music

When I go into the studio, I try to record a song that would sound
different when you play it in a nightclub or on the radio station. I
had to create my own type of music. I had expected people to think of
my music as different from what they are used to.

Occasional regrets

It is not often that I wish I wasn't involved in entertainment. But
when I think of not doing what I used to do anymore, I feel bad. I
cannot walk freely on the streets again. But then, the other rewards I
get from being an artiste make up for such moments. You cannot have
everything at once.

Back to school

I have planned my career. If I have to go back to school, it means I
have to study music business. I want to learn more about my business.
Although I have my lawyers handling stuff for me now, I really want to
know more about music. If I have to have my own company in future, I
will be able to handle it. Definitely, I will go back to school one
day. Right now, everything is fine. If I have to go back to school, it
has to be on a part time basis. I have concerts to attend and I am
always going on tour. It will be difficult for me to go back to school
and study full time.

Music fans

I feel blessed when people cluster around me. Although it can get
crazy sometimes, it is still a blessing. I used to walk freely on the
streets before and nobody gave me attention.
But the story has changed now and I think it is a good thing. I don't
have to feel bad about it.

No love child

It was rumoured that I had a love child. Even if I had a child, I
don't think it is something I should be ashamed of. Instead, I would
come out plainly and declare that I am a father. Everybody makes
mistakes. But it was just a false rumour. I don't have a child
anywhere. Besides, women hang around every male artiste. It comes with
the job. Girls will definitely fall in love with any successful
musician. They may find you attractive just because you are talented.
I handle women my own way.

Aspiration

I want to be a good father to my children when the time comes. I
intend to have a great family. Right now, I am working to have a
better life. I always try to plan ahead. It is too early to ask me if
I have seen the woman I would spend the rest of my life with. I am not
even involved in any relationship.

My family

My family gives me plenty of support and love. They are always with
me. When problems come, they are the ones I run to.

Managing fame

I know that many people have not been able to manage fame. So they get
hooked on hard drugs and other vices. People don't know that I am
under pressure most of the time. In spite of this, I have managed to
go this far.

Music business in Nigeria

Music business should be for those who have the talent. Many people
think music is just a very easy way of getting out of the streets and
making money. Some think it is a short cut to popularity. But there is
more to it. You can be great in whatever you set out to do as long as
you are talented. You can make shoes and you can become an
international shoemaker. You can be an international caterer.

You must not follow the bandwagon. People are just biased. They feel
they can sing in the studio. If it is not God's plan for them, it
won't work. Some of my colleagues are in the wrong business. But the
presence of such people will always make you look good in the
industry. We need such people around so that people will see the
better ones and know that they are really good.

EME Concert

This is different from the concerts we are used to having in the
country. The concert is coming up very soon in Lagos. We are bringing
in a lot of things on the stage. We want to make sure that we have a
great show. Other guest artistes will also perform at the concert.
Definitely, the whole EME stars will be on the stage. The idea to have
this show was a collective thing. Expect lots of fun at the show.

D'banj - My Marriage is Now Or Tomorrow

Lately Dbanj has been capturing various headlines news from the
massive endorsement by Sony Records , opening Night Club in Victoria
Island, and releasing singles ' bachelor's and on top of the world '
.

Despite departure from way back record label Mohit , he comes with
Dbanj Record and so much more .....

Contrary to the expectation of his fans, who think that he is ripe and
rich enough to call it quits with bachelor-hood, the self-styled
Kokomaster seems determined not to budge until the right time comes.

"I believe there is someone for everyone ;He told punchng.com
correspondent. So there must be a Miss Right somewhere for me, but
let's not go about breaking people's heart. I will get married when it
is God's time. The month, year or date is what I cannot disclose for
now. Let's just put it this way; my wedding is coming soon.

"I want my well-wishers to guess if she is going to be a Nigerian or
foreigner. However, the most important thing to me is to marry a woman
who will not fry my heart for supper, lunch or breakfast.

"I am not under any pressure from my parents to get married and start
producing children. I am fortunate in the sense that my parents know
too well as much as I do that marriage is not something a man and a
woman should rush into; the couple have to be emotionally compatible
and spiritually ready to live under the same roof for the rest of
their lives and be fully committed to each other through thick and
thin."

Baba Suwe denies shooting film on his NDLEA ordeal ?

Babatunde Omidina, alias Baba Suwe was in the news for the wrong
reason last year following his arrest and detention by officers of
National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) on the assumption that he
was in possession of hard drugs believed to be cocaine.

says 'Beggars, Agberos my greatest headache', denies shooting film on
his NDLEA ordeal ?

For more than one month he was subjected to public humiliation and
at the end of it all, the court vindicated him, and ordered that he
be paid the sum of N25 million for his unlawful detention.

However, since the court handed down the verdict, the actor has never
known peace in the hands of street beggars and Area boys popularly
known as Agberos who would never stop trailing him and asking for
alms.

He shares his ordeal with Showtime Celebrity. He also dismissed
insinuationthat he is currently shooting a film to document his NDLEA
ordeal. Excerpt:

Mr Babatunde Omidina, a.k.a. Baba Suwe
So nobody introduced you into acting?

Nobody introduced me into acting. All I knew was that they always had
their practices and that was how I also started practising with some
other people. But after we started, some people came to us and asked
to know where I learnt how to act. I told them I didn't learn it from
anywhere. They told me that I had to register. So since I didn't have
any boss, I went to the Osumare theatre group and spent six months
with them. After then, I was allowed to register.

So which was your first movie?
I didn't start acting in other people's movies. I started with
producing my own movies but back then, we still used the stage because
there was no film as at then.

So how much was your first salary when you just started?
The first money we collected was when we started acting on TV. When we
first started on NTA,, we collected N650. When we went to LTV 8, we
were paid N150. Channel 7 gave us N200 per episode.

Why did you choose to wear that black make-up in your movies?

What happend was that when comedy just started in Nigeria, it started
from the likes of Baba Sala, Baba Mero, John Bull and others, and each
had his dress code. That was how I picked up my black makeup and big
robe costume.

So what response did you get from people as a result of your costume?
People liked it. I even wish to go back to that same costume in my next movie.

That's true. One noticed you don't wear such heavy makeup nowadays. Why?
I still wear make up but it's not as heavy as I used to wear it in
those days. The reason is because I noticed that the modern day people
don't fansy suchheavy makeup anymore. So my colleagues advised me to
stop the heavy makeup.

And what did your fans say after you stopped wearing the heavy make-up?
People liked the heavy makeup character. And they usually get amazed
whenever they see me without my heavy makeup. In my movies, I usually
act like an illiterate old man. So I had to really look like an
illiterate- that'swhat brought about that dressing.

Baba Suwe
Is it true that NDLEA hasn't paid your N25m compensation?
Yes, it's true. They haven't paid me.

Why?
The reason is because they went to the Appeal Court. So we are still in court.
They didn't specify when they are going to pay?
I don't know when they are going to pay me.

But are they saying that they won't pay you?
They haven't said so.

Why did you decide to live in Ikorodu instead of VGC, Abuja etc?
Most Yoruba artistes live here because it's peaceful.
What's your next project?
I'm working on my next movie titled From City To Village.

Is it true that producers don't give scripts to actors/actresses who
don't belong to their caucus?
That's not true. As long as you are good, you'll get invited. So also
is the issue of sexual harrasment- they don't force any lady to have
sex with anybody. When a lady likes a man, she is free to date him.
But if she doesn't like him, there's nothing anybody can do about it.

So how do you cope with ladies. Do ladies run after you?
No they don't run after me because I'm ugly.

Who has been taking care of you after your wife's death?
I've been lonely after my wife's death but I have to be careful before
going into another marriage. Before she died, we were best friends and
we were used to each other. So I can't marry a lady whom my children
and family don't support. If God says I'll get married then, I will.

So who takes care of your children?
My sisters and mother do that for me.
What about your meals. Who cooks for you?
My younger brother's wife does that.

Can you be a polygamist?
No I can't be a polygamist, I don't like it. I have just four children
and I don't intend to have more children

What if you re-marry and the woman wants children?
I don't intend to have more children.

Learnt that you are shooting a film to document your
NDLEA ordeal ?

I'm not shooting any movie in that respect. It's not yet time because
we arestill in court. If I'll shoot any movie, it depends on the
outcome of the case.

How do you relax?
Whenever I'm not on set, I like to play Ludo.
Do you drink?
No I don't drink, I don't smoke and I don't like women.

What do you like in a lady?
I like a lady with good character, someone with same purpose, whom my
children and family like. She must also be a fervent Muslim. I don't
really have preference when it comes to physical quality.
