The 2012 edition of the Nigerian Broadcasters Awards was held on
Sunday December 2, 2012 at the NECA House, Plot A2, Hakeem Balogun
Street, Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja Lagos.


A total of 46 winners were announced. The ' Entertainment TV Program
of the Year ' award went to ' Jara ' hosted by Helen Paul and Uti
Nwachukwu with the latter also walking away with the ' Sexiest Male
On-Air-Personality '.

that was resolved anyway ,He apologized for His thoughtless
statement....


Now report reaching me states that , A 46-year-old man collapsed
with chest pains and died while dancing a la 'Gangnam Style' at his
office's holiday party last weekend in Blackburn, according to The
Independent.


The sudden death of Eamonn Kilbride, father of three, has "prompted a
warning to middle aged men not to attempt the vigorous dance from the
hit video," said the newspaper.


Proffesor Bernard Keavney, a consultant cardiologist at Newcastle
Universityadvised middle aged men against getting too wild while
dancing at holiday events.


"The chance that you'll come to grief is very small. But as with any
form of untypical exercise … be somewhat measured. Let the lady dance
around you," he told The Daily Telegraph.


Kilbride had been at the holiday party with his wife, Julie, who
called him "the life of the party."

Okonjo-Iweala’s mother regains freedom from kidnappers

Professor Kamene Okonjo, has been released by her kidnappers, five
days after she was abducted.


A senior security source confirmed to Reuters that "She has been
released now by her captors and she is at home."


The Minister of Finance's mother, who is the wife of His Majesty,
Professor Chukwuka Aninshi Okonjo Agbogidi, the incumbent Obi of
Ogwashi-Uku kingdom, was taken away by her captors from the palace
last Sunday, at about 1.30pm.


Reports have it that the kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of $1
billion, before they reduced it to N200 million. We cannot confirm
immediately if they received any payment, before they released the
trained medical doctor.

Don Jazzy set to open new hangout in Lagos

For music producer Don Jazzy, 2012 started on a sad note, as he split
with his protege and business partner of many years, D'Banj. The pair
cited difference in philosophies moving forward, for the break up and
promptly dabbled into other things.


However, the year is ending on a good note for the Delta State-born
celebrity. After sealing a deal reported to be worth N50 million, to
become the new Brand Ambassador of Loya Milk, Don Jazzy went on to
acquire a Lekki property, that cost him around N160 million.


It has not ended yet. Don Baba J, as he is fondly called, has
announced that he will be opening his new night club in Victoria
Island, on December 21.


"Hey tweeps. I dey hail o. Pls join me as I launch my new club in V.I
"PoP" next week Friday 21st December if the world no end. Lol. IDJA."


Before now, he ran the Koko Bar, inside Ozone Cinemas with D'Banj.

Woman implants cocaine in her breasts

MADRID (AFP) – Spanish police caught a woman smuggling more than a
kilogram of cocaine hidden inside implants in her breasts, officials
said Wednesday.
The Panamanian woman was caught at Barcelona airport after getting off
a flight from Colombia, the national police said in a statement.


This handout picture released by the Spanish Police on December 12,
2012 shows two bags of breast prostheses filled with cocaine after
there were seized by Spanish Police at El Prat airport in Barcelona.


The woman "had two breast implants containing cocaine implanted in
her. She had two open cuts under each of her breasts," the police
said, releasing a photograph of one of the loosely stitched wounds.


"She intended in that way to bring more than a kilogram of the drug
into Spain," the statement added.


Officials questioned the woman as part of standard checks carried out
on passengers from Colombia — a major source of cocaine. When they
searched her, they found bloody dressings on the wounds.


They took her to hospital where doctors removed the implants and tests
showed that they contained 1.3 kilograms (three pounds) of cocaine,
the police said.
