Ice Prince and ‘Bonang Matheba SA MODEL to Host CHANNEL O AWARDS!

The 2012 Channel O Music Video Awards will be hosted by suave Nigerian
rapper Ice Prince and South African top model Bonang Matheba.

According to organizers, 'Bonang and Ice Prince will bring their
unique individuality when hosting Africa's most prestigious music
awards'.

The awards will hold on Saturday, November 17 at Walter Sisulu Square
in Kliptown, Soweto.

13 Nigerian artistes receive nods this year, including pop singers
2face, D'banj, Psquare, Wizkid, Wande Coal, Davido, Mo'Cheddah, Brymo,
and Orezi. Highlife evangelist Flavour, R&B star Tiwa Savage and
rappers Naeto C and Ice Prince are also up for nominations.

'I feel really honoured and super excited, I think I am more excited
than anyone who has ever hosted/co-hosted the show because it's a huge
privilege to be hosting the biggest award show in Africa', Ice Prince
says.

Last year, Nigerian R&B singer Banky W and South African O-Access
presenter Dineo Moeketsi hosted the awards.

Newly married Nollywood actress Funke Akindele-Oloyede has reacted to
a Lagos- based soft sell magazine's report that she recently suffered
a miscarriage and her movie career has nose-dived.

According to a PM News source, "Funke is not pregnant yet. She has
chosen to be silent on the true state of her condition because in
Yoruba culture, it is more of a taboo for a married
woman to publicly denounce or confirm if she's pregnant or not.

surprised about the story claiming that she lost her pregnancy," said

I put a question mark there because I don't know for sure if they are
married but the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host recently introduced
Sandra Onyenaucheya as his wife.

Not girlfriend or fiancee, as wife. He told guests at the unveiling of
the new Heineken bottle which held at the Federal Palace hotel some
days back, that he came to the event with his wife, Sandra, who was
wearing a wedding band.

The couple went public last year after Frank Edoho ended his marriage
with mother of his three children, TV gal, Katherine Edoho. Sandra, a
mother of one, moved into
Frank's VGC home sometime last year and there were reports that they
planned to marry soon. Guess the deed has been done! Congrats to them!

Man Stabs Rivals To Death For Snatching his Woman

A man has reportedly stabbed his rival to death in Lagos after he
caught him with his lover making love.

A 27-year old man, David Omoregbe, has been arrested by the police in
Lagos State, for allegedly stabbed and killed his rival, Kehinde
Owasoye, 25, for snatching his 22-year old lover, Bolodeoku Temisan.

The incident happened at the deceased's residence at 20, Adeojo
Street, Isheri-Oshun, on the outskirts of Lagos when Omoregbe caught
Owasoye having s*x with his girlfriend.

Temisan was said to be dating the two men and when they discovered, a
fight ensued during which Owasoye was eventually murdered. She was
also arrested with Omoregbe and charged with conspiracy and murder
before a Yaba Magistrate's court, Lagos.

According to their neighbours, Temisan was dating both men until
Omoregbe later discovered and warned her to stop seeing the other man.

To take charge of the relationship and stamp his authority, Omoregbe,
a commuter bus driver decided to sponsor Temisan to learn tailoring.

Despite Omoregbe's efforts, Temisan did not stop seeing Owasoye.

On the day the incident happened, Omoregbe was told that Temisan was
at Owasoye's house. He went there to find out if it was so, and caught
them in bed. Omoregbe couldn't control his anger and he allegedly took
a pair of scissors and stabbed Owasoye. And before he could be rushed
to a hospital, he died.

Omoregbe and Temisan were arrested by the police at Isheri-Oshun
division before the matter was later transferred to state Criminal
Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba.

They are now facing a charge of murder contrary to sections 221 and
231 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.

The presiding magistrate, Mrs. M. O. Tanimola ordered them to be
remanded in prison and their case file duplicated for Director of
Public Prosecutions, DPP's advice.
