Rafael Benitez has been confirmed as Chelsea's new manager, after the
club sacked Roberto Di Matteo following Tuesday's 3-0 Champions League
defeat to Juventus.
The 52-year-old Spaniard takes charge of the European champions on an
interim basis until the end of the current campaign after spending
almost two years out of work following his dismissal at Inter Milan.
A statement on the club's official website read: "The owner and the
Board believe that in Benitez we have a manager with significant
experience at the highest level of football, who can come in and
immediately help deliver our objectives."

Nicki Minaj Denied Entry For Her Own Album Release Party By The Police
Nicki Minaj was slated to host her album release party on Tuesday
night at a club in New York City, but an eyewitness exclusively tells
source the pop diva and her entourage were denied at the door by the
NYPD because they were at capacity.
Held at Greenhouse Nightclub, the event was sponsored by Smirnoff Iced
Cake and Nicki, 29, was supposed to make an appearance with Flo Rida**
and Fabolous** -- but came too late to get in.
"Nicki turned up to the club with about 25 people at 3:30 in the
morning," according to the eyewitness.
"She wanted to celebrate with her fans, but she was denied entry at
the door by the police because they said the venue was at capacity and
there was nothing they could do to accommodate her."

"Nicki wasn't happy about it, so she and her group just left," the
eyewitness said.

University of Ilorin is the first Institution to start teaching Chinese language
On Tuesday, The University of Ilorin said it would commence teaching
of Chinese (Mandarin) language . It was at the 23rd meeting of the
school Senate held in Ilorin, that the issue was resolved.
Mr Idris Akogun, the University's Director, Corporate Affairs
Department, said that the introduction of Mandarin was to prepare
students for a fast changing global and political economy, and
preparation for the take off of the course was in the pipe line.
He added that apart from Nigerian languages, the university also
offered instructions at degree and non degree level in foreign
languages.
"These languages are French, German and Spanish. Mandarin is the
latest addition of the languages to be taught at Unilorin,'' he said.
