Fire reported at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos
Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos. An eyewitness said the
fire emanated from some cables, which apparently melted under heat
.This led to a blackout in the airport terminal while fire fighters
deployed swiftly in the affected area to quench the inferno.
The fire fighters were able to put the situation under control while
security men erected a metal barricade around the site. In a separate
incident, a cargo plane blew off the roof of a parking lot at the
airport on Wednesday night, causing damage to some cars.
The extent of damage has yet to be ascertained.

user -- Kim Kardashian -- is telling friends she's considering leaving
unless its new policies are drastically revised, ASAP. Instagram has
been under serious fire this week ... after the company announced a
new terms of service policy (T.O.S.) which seemed to give the company
power to sell user photos to outside companies without having to
compensate the user.
Instagram says the widespread interpretation of the policy was simply
not true ... they're not selling user photos ... and apologized for
the "confusing" language. Instagram says it's revising the wording and
will release a new TOS in the near future. But Kim K isn't convinced
... at least not yet ... and is telling friends she's thinking about
shutting down her Instagram account, going to a rival photo-posting
company ... and taking ALL OF HER FOLLOWERS WITH HER. It's a big deal
... considering KK has the most followers of any Instagram user at
5,726,343 ... way past Justin Bieber (4,366,729) and President Barack
Obama (1,834,079). Plus, if Kim goes ... her family members could
follow ... and Khloe, Kylie, Kendall and Rob are also in the Top 10
most followed on the site.
One source close to Kim told source the reality star is planning on
waiting to see the revised T.O.S. before she makes her final decision
... but unless she sees some radical changes, she's outtie 5000.

Hajia Habiba Ismai'l, the Executive Producer, Sarewa Africa and Habiba
Gazelle Foundation, announced this at a news conference in Abuja on
Wednesday, according to report culled from vanguard.
She said the show is aimed at encouraging the growth of Hausa language
and promote the developmental potential of the youths. Ismai'l said
that the event, tagged `Sarewa Africa Television Project', was timely
since it is coming at a time when the country is yearning for youths'
development.
She said the show would showcase talents, adding: "Serawa Africa
Television Project is a conscious dream that started over 24-months
ago.
"The aim is to provide platform for talented youths to find their
voice, express their talent and support them to build career in music
and acting in Hausa. "Hausa language is one of the most spoken in
Africa. The show, therefore, proposes to encourage the growth of the
language and promote the developmental potential of Kannywood,'' she
said.
She said that the show would cover music, social crises, romance,
unity, non-violence, corruption, political stability and other
developmental needs of society . According to her, the competition has
been segmented across the northern part of the country with event
showcase in Port-Harcourt and Lagos.
Sen. Bello Maitama, who chaired the news conference, said the show
wouldhelp to build the youths in the nation. He described the show as
a noble project worthy of emulation and support from all for the
betterment of Nigeria. (NAN)
