Wizkid and Naeto C announced as EkoFootball ambassador​s

Nateo C, Seyi Akinwunmi (Chairman LSFA) and Wizkid
Singer Wizkid and rapper Naeto C have been
announced as ambassadors of Eko Football, a Lagos
State soccer festival which will be holding its first event
in September 2012.
A few months ago, the Lagos State Football
Association (LSFA) announced that Soccerex Seminar
Lagos, the first Soccerex event in West Africa, would be
hosted in Lagos.
The Eko Football Festival will also take place in Lagos,
coinciding with the seminar.
Organizers say the Eko Football Festival will be the first
of its kind event in Nigeria, where football and the
entertainment industry will converge, to improve the
level of football tourism in Nigeria.
And in order to deliver a successful event, LSFA
recently announced their partnership with media
company Storm 360.

the very first annual Eko Football Festival and look
forward to a long and positive association with the

Court Dissolves Gospel Singer, Wunmi’s Marriage

Gospel singer, Wunmi Awoniyi, a.k.a. Omo Emi was this
morning ordered by the Orile-Agege Grade 'B'
customary court in Lagos, southwest Nigeria to drop the
name that brought her fame and fortune as the court
dissolved her four-year old marriage to Prophet Samuel
Awoniyi.
Delivering judgement in a divorce suit filed by Wunmi's
former husband, Prophet Samuel Awoniyi, President of
the Customary Court, Mr. J.O. Adewusi said with the
evidence before the court, the four-year old marriage
that produced a son, Michael, has broken down
irretrievably as a result of adultery.
Adewusi ordered Wunmi to take custody of Michael
while his father, Prophet Awoniyi must be responsible
for his upkeep, education and health needs. He must
also be given a free access to the boy.
The court ordered that both parties are free to go their
separate ways without any fear of molestation, adding
that any quarrel or fight reported to the court shall be
treated as a criminal breach.
It also gave any of the parties not satisfied with the
judgement 30 days within which to file an appeal at the
High Court.
Throughout the trial, Wunmi who became popular with
her hit number, "Gbogo mi fun mi" was not in court,
neither was she represented by a counsel. Commenting
on the judgement, an elated Prophet Awoniyi said it
was a big relief for him and his family.
He claimed that Wunmi has been going about defaming
him, his family name and his ministry. The founder of
Divine Salvation Evangelical Ministry, Oke-Odo, Iyana
Ipaja, Lagos, alleged that Wunmi was using the name
for duping people.
"She should stop bringing my name and ministry to
disrepute. She is now free to go ahead and marry
anyone she wishes," Prophet Awoniyi said.
The petitioner instituted the action seeking the
dissolution of his four-year old marriage to Wunmi on
the grounds of desert.
