WAJE : ‘I MAY SIGN WITH CHOCOLATE CITY’

For months, the rumours of the gifted singer Waje joining powerhouse
record label Chocolate City has been circulating and while the label
has refused to confirm or dispel the news, Waje has opened up on what
is really going on.

'We are trying to see how we can work together. They have been a very
strong part of my career since 'One Naira' in the sense that they've
really helped me in many ways. There is a possibility', Waje told
Channels TV presenter Victoria Idowu in an interview.

Waje was fully introduced to the Chocolate City camp after
collaborating with rapper M.I on his 2010 hit 'One Naira' off his
'MI2' album.

'It's all about getting the right deal, this things do matter at the
end of the day. Both Waje and Choc City need to know it's worth it',
an inside source in Waje's camp revealed,

Chocolate City have signed two artistes this year – Port Harcourt
rapper Pryse and gospel singer Nosa. They now carry a robust roaster
of seven artistes – the others being M.I, Jesse Jagz, Brymo, Ice
Prince along with an official Disc Jockey – DJ Caise.

A  24-year old pop star from China, Mikizhang Muyi, made some

It was reported that Muyi and Miki have been acquainted for some time,
as Muyi became Miki's music coach when she was 8. They've recorded
duets together and flood their social networking profiles with
pictures of the two of them. A year after hiring Muyi, Miki won the
2009 National New Silk Road Modeling Competition's Children Pageant.

The pair trended on Twitter as news of their apparent romance spread
as more and more people read their sappy public messages, and Muyi
responded to the rumors on his Weibo: "There's nothing we can do about
this, nor do we feel the need to prove anything to these people. All
we can do is continue to persevere with our love, our life, and being
together."

Latest News: Police arrest driver over conductor’s death

The police have arrested a bus driver at Shereti Village in Kabusa,
Federal capital Territory, for allegedly killing his conductor, Bala
Akuki, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
The suspect was said to have fought the conductor for allegedly
stealing N5,000 from their daily till.According to a police source,
the suspect denied the allegation, saying that the conductor died of
stomach upset.

However, a neighbour told the police that the driver had a serious
fight with the conductor a night before the conductor died. The
neighbour said he over-heard the driver and the conductor
fighting in the night over the alleged missing N5,000.

"They were engaged in a serious fight,'' the neighbour was said to
have told the police. NAN learnt that preliminary investigations by
the police revealed that the conductor might have been strangled. The
source said the police would soon arraign the suspect.

EMEKA IKE DISRUPT AGN ELECTION IN LAGOS**HE SAID I THREATENED HIS LIFE–EMMA OGUGUAH

Controversial Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike today, Thursday, September 27
disrupted the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) held in Lagos. He came in
about 1:40pm to arrest the vice
chairman of the BOT of the guild, Emma Ogugua with some men of the
police force. Emma was whisked away to Zone 2 Headquarters of the
police force where we learnt he met with the AIG in charge of thezone.

He was accompanied by Steve Eboh, who is contesting in the election
for the presidency.
Emma later came back to the secretariat some minutes past 5pm.Though

the election results.

Emeka reportedly came claiming it was illegal for the guild to conduct
an election. There are feelers that Ibinabo is leading but this has
not been officially announced.Meanwhile, Emeka Ike has denied coming
to the election venue to arrest Emma. He said he was just passing by.

evidence that he was truly arrest and claimed that Emeka told the
police the he (Emma) threatened his life.

A British businessman murdered his glamorous Russian bride after he
discovered she used to be a man.



Chris Collier, 40, battered wife Julia, 35, before smothering her to
death at the couple's apartment in Kusadasi, on the Aegean coast of
Turkey.

He has now has been jailed for 24 years after a trial in his adopted
country, where he ran an estate agent and his wife worked as a lounge
singer in hotel bars.

Collier, originally from Rownall, Staffordshire, was a key figure in
the Phones4U empire before emigrating to Turkey in the late 1990s.

He was one of the first salesmen tycoon John Caudwell employed when he
was setting up his mobile phone business, which he went sold for a
staggering £1.46 billion in September 2006.

After Mrs Collier's murder, detectives probed the couple's
relationship amid claims her husband 'bought' his bride on the
internet, and she had undergone a sex change.

Postings in an internet forum used by expat Brits claimed to be Collier.

One said: 'I paid for my wife and then moved to Kusadasi in my rented
apartment.'

It went on to add that the woman 'used to be a bloke'.

Speaking at the time of his arrest, Mr Caudwell said: 'Chris was one
of my first salesman when I was starting out, so I remember him well.
He was a good salesman and became a sales manager.

'It is shocking to hear he has been arrested for murder. It's shocking
to hear about any murder.'

Collier was arrested the day after the death on November 27, 2010.

During his trial, the court heard he had knocked his wife unconscious
with a hard object before smothering her.

A spokesman for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: 'We are
aware that a British national was sentenced to 24 years imprisonment
in Turkey on August 6.

'We will continue to provide consular assistance to him and his family
here in the UK.'

A friend of Collier, who did not want to be named, said the couple had
been married for a number of years, but had no children.

She said: 'Chris went out to Turkey to make a new start over 10 years ago.

'Julia was just the nicest girl you could ever meet.

'She was a singer, and she used to perform at the Korumar Hotel in
Kusadasi. That is where they met.

'I found out what had happened from a mutual friend in Turkey. I was
really shocked when I heard.'

A friend of Collier's mother added: 'I know Chris's mum, she is a
lovely lady and it is a shame the family have been put through this.

'He hasn't been in England for a long time but the news of his prison
term it is still a shock to the community where he used to live.'

A New York City politician has referred to Lady Gaga as a "slut."

Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro made the remark on
Monday while he was pointing to photos of the pop superstar lighting
what appears to be a marijuana cigarettes at an Amsterdam concert last
week.

The photos were displayed alongside a poster that said: "Stop
glorifying drug use in the media."

Staten Island Advance reported Molinaro as saying "This slut is
influencing many, many children." He added sarcastically, "My niece
has two daughters, 12 and 14, and they love this woman. Why? Why?"

Molinaro also condemned actors and ballplayers who he said use drugs
"as if it's nothing."

Later in the day, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer who is a
friend of Gaga's family came to the singer's defense. Speaking to the
New York Observer, he said; "Lady Gaga's work is a symbol of
individuality and artistic expression. In addition to her artistic
pursuits, she is a social justice activist and a real leader for
marriage equality in this country."
