Nicki Minaj's Blowup at Mariah Carey: Why It's the Best American Idol News Ever!

Do reality shows get more compelling after their villains are cast
out? Did any show get better after Shannen Doherty was exiled from it?
If good chemistry sells, bad chemistry electrifies.

And American Idol, home of Tuesday's Nicki Minaj-Mariah Carey
judges'-table bout, just became a live wire again. Ryan Seacrest on
Minaj-Carey: "It was intense" Usually, we think of bad chemistry as
being bad--like, Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman in the Star
Wars prequels, voted worst screen couple in a poll of film fans. But
that's not bad chemistry, that's no chemistry (aided and abetted by
George Lucas love lines). On the contrary, bad chemistry makes for
fireworks--think Richard Gere triumphantly walking off with Debra
Winger in An Officer and a Gentleman, and then recall Winger trashing
the film as one of the worst experiences of her life.

Bad chemistry or good chemistry, it's all chemistry, agrees Matthew
Harrison, an acting teacher and cofounder of Actor's Foundry in
Vancouver, British Columbia. And it's vital. Flashback: Minaj calls
Carey a "legend" "That means people are connected to each other,"
Harrison says. And to the audience, too. Says Harrison: "It is utterly
fascinating to watch chemistry under play." That it is. Chemistry
experiments that go well can result in something beautiful, like
original-formula Coca-Cola. Chemistry experiments that go bad can end
in fiery explosions, like Minaj offering to pop Carey upside the head.

Both kinds work. As the ratings proved, we, the TV nation, rather
enjoyed the conviviality of Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven
Tyler. Of course, we also liked it when people threw things--dirty
looks, water, etc.--at Simon Cowell. Good chemistry, bad chemistry,
it's all chemistry. So, thank you, Dr. Minaj, for putting a charge
into the 11-going-on-12-year-old Idol. Just please don't really knock
out anybody. That's a little bit too much connection.

PHOTOS: Rihanna & Chris Brown Leave The Same Hotel On The Same Night**

Chris Brown was spotted leaving Rihanna's New York hotel and the two
were later seen hanging out at the same nightclub together, just
one night after they were caught making out at a different nightclub

The two singers were photographed by numerous partygoers at 1OAK in
the wee hours of Wednesday morning getting awfully close.

Chris arrived around 2 a.m. with friends and was drinking Champagne, a
source told the New York Post.

Then, around 3 a.m., Rihanna came in with some girlfriends, and then
went directly to his table.

And it's no coincidence that because Rihanna and Chris have been
virtually inseparable over the last few days, he has broken up with
his long-time girlfriend, Karreuche Tran** -- as RadarOnline.com was
first to report!

"Karreuche finally had enough and dumped Chris for good. Karreuche and
Chris had been on thin ice for a while, but after he was spotted
getting with Nicole Scherzinger in a Los Angeles nightclub recently,
and then when reports surfaced that he had hooked up with Rihanna --
so she finally dumped him," a source close to the situation told
Radar.

Chris confirmed the breakup on Wednesday saying, I have decided to be
single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I dont
want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna.

"Id rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.

Cristiano Ronaldo: It's important to gain confidence ahead of El Clasico

Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Sergio Ramos expressed their happiness
with Real Madrid's 4-1 away victory against Ajax and declared that
they are determined to succeed at Camp Nou against Barcelona in their
next game.

Ronaldo was the hero for Jose Mourinho's side, notching a hat-trick,
whilst Kaka and Sergio Ramos were handed starts despite having fallen
out of favour with the coach.

Speaking to Canal+, Ronaldo said: "I am very happy because we won and
played well. For me, to score three goals is vital.

"We played a very complete game and it is very important to gain
confidence for the next game [vs Barcelona].

"It's very important to take the ball home but the important thing is
the team because without them I would not manage to score goals."

Barcelona could open up an 11-point lead if they defeat Los Blancos on
Sunday, but Ronaldo is sure that his team can get the victory they're
looking for.

"I am confident that we will get a good result in a difficult place,
the Camp Nou. They have a very good team and there will not be much
difference," he explained.

Meanwhile, after his public feud with the coach, Sergio Ramos has
stated that the pair have resolved their differences and the
vice-captain hopes that the team can continue their recent good run of
form.

"Mourinho's matter is over, and I'm happy for the victory in the
Champions League, which is the best for the team," the Spain
international declared.

"It was an important victory against a complicated team, but now we
have to focus on La Liga.

"The Clasico is coming and it's always special. We have to keep this
good streak and get more points in the league."

6 DANGEROUS WORDS WOMEN USE, THAT MEN SHOULD WATCH OUT

The differences between men and women is a tremendously popular topic,
especially when it comes to decoding women's language. Countless
books, articles have been written on this subject and many studies
portray women and men as alien beings.

This is an outline of some words and phrases:

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are
right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an
hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given
five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something,
and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing
usually don't end up fine.

(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement
often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an
ass and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing
with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of
nothing.)

(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman
can make. This is a sarcastic statement. It actually there means there
is war.

Brothers you better watch out for those statements! Be social share post !

Motivational : Either you run the day or the day runs you.

Always continue the climb. It is possible for you to do whatever you
choose, if you first get to know who you are and are willing to work
with a power that is greater than ourselves to do it.
Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Latest On Dame Patience Jonathan's Health

Dame Patience Jonathan is allegedly suffering from what is called
Cancer of the Uterus and is being treated at Horst Schmidt Klinik in
Wiesbaden, Germany.

The first Lady is said to have been flown out of the Country on 28
August 2012, and since then the online media has been abuzz with
different conflicting reports.A recent one even claimed that Mrs.
Jonathan was being treated for Parkinson disease.

Earlier reports had it that Patience was operated upon for
ruptured appendicitis at the German hospital.Yet, there was another
report that the surgical procedure on Mrs. Jonathan was to remove a
potentially cancerous uterine fibroid.
There were also speculations that she had traveled to Dubai to have a
procedure performed and returned to Nigeria where she developed
complications which led to her sudden evacuation to Germany.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin
Okupe told State House Correspondents last Tuesday when he was asked
about the health of Patience that "ordinarily,

I do not want to comment on this matter. Nigerians have gone through a
lot of trauma in terms of leadership and death and ill luck and all
that (in the past).

From all the that has been said so far about the first Lady, here is
what we can deduce:

1) The first Lady is seriously ill.
2) The first lady was indeed flown to Germany to seek better medical
attention in Germany than that which her husband has provided for
Nigerians.

The presidency still remains muted about the First Lady's health and
has refused to issue any official statement.

Latest : What Obama calls ‘corporate welfare’ isn’t really corporate welfare

President Obama tonight said he wants to end "corporate welfare." Then
he spoke about three policy areas that are pretty far from corporate
welfare. First, he spoke about "oil subsidies."

There are some oil subsidies in federal law, and Obama is correct that
they should be ended. But most of the "oil subsidies" Obama points to
are broad-based tax deductions that oil companies also happen to get .
I wrote last year about Democratic rhetoric on this issue: "tax
provisions that treat oil companies like other companies become a
'giveaway,' while a bill setting higher taxes for only five companies
counts as fairness."

Second, Obama picked on "corporate jets." Again, there's no big
giveaway to corporate jets. Instead, some jets are depreciated over
five years and others are depreciated over seven years. I explained it
last year.

When it comes to actual corporate welfare for corporate jets, the
Obama administration wants to ramp it up — his Export-Import Bank
chief has explicitly stated he wants to subsidize more corporate-jet
sales.

Finally, Obama rolled out the canard about tax breaks for "companies
that ship jobs overseas." Romney was right to fire back that this tax
break doesn't exist. Instead, all ordinary business expenses are
deductible — that is, you are only taxed on profits,

which are revenues minus expenses. And how much money would Obama
raise with his targeted tax hike? Less than one penny of every $100
collected in corporate income tax.
So, when Obama says "corporate welfare," he really means "unpopular
businesses being treated equally."
