“We now have Area Boys, Yahoo Boys and Blackberry Boys” – OBJ warns GEJ of imminent revolution

Former Nigeria's President Olusegun Obasanjo, at the weekend, cried
out about the state of the nation saying a massive revolution looms
unless there is a conscious effort to
improve the state of the nation.

Obasanjo made this assertion while speaking at the West African
regional conference on youth employment in Dakar, Senegal.

The former Owu-born warlord lamented that the unemployment situation
had given birth to categories of youth involved in social crimes whom
he labelled as "area boys, Yahoo boys and, recently, Blackberry boys."

He said the danger posed by an army of unemployed youth in Nigeria can
only be imagined adding that the country may witness a revolution soon
unless the government takes
urgent steps to check growing youth unemployment and poverty.

He said "I'm afraid, and you know I am a General. When a General says
he is afraid, that means the danger ahead is real and potent."

"There is the absence of serious, concrete, realistic, short and long
term solution unemployment."

The former military Head of State referred to the doctorate degree
holders who applied for jobs as drivers at the Dangote Group, saying

"Nigerian youths have been patient enough and that this patience will
soon reach its elastic limit."

OBJ said youth unemployment rate which was 72 per cent in 1999 when he
took over power had been reduced to 52 per cent by 2004 but that the
rate rocketed to 71 per cent by 2011.

Obasanjo called for diversification of the economy saying attention
should be given to agriculture business as against the usual local
farming.

He stressed the need for easy access to land and. micro credit, while
advocating for a review of school curriculum to enable undergraduates
spend additional one year to learn
entrepreneurship.

The conference, sponsored by the Organization for Economic Cooperation
and Development (OECD) and the African Development Bank, was attended
by top bankers from across Africa including the Managing Director of
Nigeria's Bank of Industry, Ms. Evelyn Oputu.

RIM to introduce new BlackBerry 10 devices on January 30

(Reuters) - Research In Motion Ltd plans to introduce its new line of
BlackBerry 10 smartphones on January 30, the company said on Monday,
giving investors a measure of confidence that the long-awaited devices
are nearing completion.

The Waterloo, Ontario-based company, a one-time pioneer in the
smartphone industry, is betting its future on the new products, which
will be powered by its new BlackBerry 10 operating system. Its shares
rose 5.5 percent to $9.01 in trading before the U.S. stock markets
opened.

RIM has struggled over the last two years as its devices lost ground
to snazzier and faster smartphones like Apple Inc's iPhone and Samsung
Electronics' Galaxy line.

RIM said the twice-delayed launch would take place simultaneously in
multiple countries. It will introduce two BlackBerry 10 smartphones as
well as the platform that powers them.

The company has said the first devices will have touchscreens. Phones
with the mini QWERTY keyboards that many long-time BlackBerry users
rave about will come a few weeks later.

The company did not say when the devices will be available in stores.

VIRGIN MARY Appears On Malaysian HOSPITAL Window

Crowds of Catholics have flocked to a Malaysian hospital to hold a
prayer vigil in front of what they believe to be a vision of the
Virgin Mary which has "miraculously" appeared on one of the building's
windows.

More than 100 worshipers, some from hundreds of miles away, have
converged on the Sime Darby Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur, after the
vision appeared a few days ago.

The group, who are convinced that the mysterious mark on the seventh
floor window represents the much revered mother of Jesus Christ, said
that they can also see a second image of her son two windows away.
Visitors have been lighting candles praying and singing hymns close to
the image which has gone viral on Facebook. It has been described by
some on the scene as a "miracle."

Father Lawrence Andrew, editor of Malaysian Catholic newsletter, The
Herald, said that the church would need to investigate and verify the
authenticity of the images and "the experiences of the witnesses."

"It could be private revelations. We have to make sure they are not
imagined but real apparitions," he said.

Eunice Fernandez, who lives nearby, said: "We believe Mary, mother of
God, has a message for us, as she is looking down on us and then at a
Malaysian flag. We can also see Jesus and he is also moving, they are
not static."

The 54-year-old housewife dismissed claims the image could be a hoax.

The hospital have yet to comment on the vision.

“Rihanna will make a better Bond girl not Beyonce” – Daniel Craig (James Bond )

He recruited both the director Sam Mendes and villain Javier Bardem to
join him in the latest 007 installment, Skyfall.

And now Daniel Craig has revealed his top pick for the next Bond girl.

While being interviewed on Globalgrind.com the British star revealed
he can see singer Rihanna playing the MI6 agent's love interest.

Craig, who was promoting the 23rd Bond movie on the web show, was
asked by interviewer Ben Lyons: 'Who makes a better Bond girl: Rihanna
or Beyonce?'

After a moment's hesitation, Craig, who is playing the legendary spy
for the third time replied: 'Rihanna, I think.' Questioning Craig's
choice as to why he would choose the Diamonds singer he said: 'She's
dirtier.'

But when the same question was put t Skyfall's leading ladies, Naomie
Harris and Bérénice Marlohe, shortly afterwards they went for Beyonce.

Upon being told their co-star had picked the 24- year-old Barbadian
recording artist on the basis of her being 'dirtier', the pair looked
shocked.

'Is that what you need to be a Bond girl?' asked Naomie, who plays
Miss Moneypenny in the new film. On hearing the news Rihanna, who made
her acting debut earlier this year in the sci-fi blockbuster
Battleship, tweeted:

'Daniel Craig Says Rihanna Would Be An Ideal Bond Girl..
this makes me happy ' Over the years the coveted role of James'
leading lady has gone to a range of actresses including Honor Blackman
as Pussy Galore in Goldfinger, Jane Seymour as Solitaire in Live and
Let Die, Halle Berry as Jinx in Die Another Die, and Ursula Andress as
Honey Ryder in Dr No.

Daniel, who has just signed up for another two James Bond movies,
recently revealed on the Jimmy Kimmel show that he had recruited both
the director, Sam Mendes, and co-star, Javier Bardem, to sign up for
Skyfall, the 23rd film in the 007 franchise.

'I was at Hugh Jackman's birthday party. It was late in the evening
and I'd had a few too many drinks and Sam Mendes turned up,' he
recalled.

'We started talking about the next [James Bond] movie and I had a
flash of inspiration and said, 'Why don't you do it?"

Craig ran into Jaview Bardem at another showbiz party: 'He'd always
wanted to be a Bond villain,' he said. 'And I said 'Come do it'.'

HALIMA ABUBAKAR Battles Cancer with Shaved Hair

The rate at which cancer is eating deep into the society is becoming
very alarming. Before now, not much awareness has been carried out on
the silent killer disease taking over that accolade from the once
dreaded HIV/AIDS disease.

Cancer, according to recent research, is killing more people than
HIV/AIDS. Cancer has various types like the breast, skin, cervical,
lungs, e.t.c., which eat deep into people due to inability to go for
check ups or much awareness on it.

One actress that is taking a bold step in battling the menace caused
by cancer is Halima Abubakar. To fight cancer, the sexy Kogi-State
actress has shaved her hair to that effect.

According to what Nigeriafilms.com scooped from Halima, she shaved her
hair with the aim of raising awareness for cancer in conjunction with
Wow Diva organisation.

How Anger Affects Your Health and Tips on How to Manage Anger

Anger is a powerful emotion. If it isn't handled appropriately, it may
have destructive results for both you and your loved ones.
Uncontrolled anger can lead to arguments, physical fights, physical
abuse, assault and self-harm.

On the other hand, well-managed anger can be a useful
emotion that motivates you to make positive changes.

More often than not, we find ourselves seething with rage over
something we probably could have reacted more calmly or different to
and then we begin to feel remorse afterwards.

Anger is a normal and even healthy emotion — but it's important to
deal with it in a positive way; it's when we allow our anger take
control over us that it becomes a problem.

Health problems

The constant flood of stress chemicals and associated metabolic
changes that accompany recurrent unmanaged anger can eventually cause
harm to many different systems of the body.

Some of the short and long-term health problems that have been linked
to unmanaged anger include:

Headache
Digestion problems, such as abdominal pain
Insomnia
Increased anxiety
Depression
High blood pressure
Skin problems, such as eczema
Heart attack
Stroke.

Do you want to put your anger in check? Start by considering these 7
anger management tips.

No. 1: Take a timeout

Counting to 10 isn't just for kids alone – it works for adults as
well. Before reacting to a tense situation, take a few moments to
breathe deeply and count to 10 or longer. Slowing down can help defuse
your temper.

If necessary, take a breather from the person or source of your anger
until you feel calm or in control of emotion again.

No. 2: Once you're calm, express your anger

As soon as you're thinking clearly, express your frustration in an
assertive but nonconfrontational way. State your concerns and needs
clearly and directly, without hurting others or trying to control
them.

No. 3: Get some exercise

Physical activity can provide an outlet for your emotions, especially
if you're about to erupt. If you feel your anger escalating, go for a
brisk walk or run, or spend some time doing other favorite physical
activities.

Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that can leave
you feeling happier and more relaxed than you were before you worked
out.

No. 4: Think before you speak

In the heat of the moment, it's easy to say something you'll later
regret: words are like milk, once spilled, they can't be gathered.

Therefore, take a few moments to collect your thoughts before saying
anything — and allow others involved in the situation to do the same.

No. 5: Identify possible solutions

Instead of focusing on what made you mad, work on resolving the issue
at hand. Does your child's messy room drive you crazy? Close the door.

Is your partner late for dinner every night? Schedule meals later in
the evening — or agree to eat on your own a few times a week. Remind
yourself that anger won't fix anything, and might only make it worse.

No. 6: Stick with 'I' statements

To avoid criticizing or laying blames on others — which might only
increase tension — use "I" statements to describe the problem.

Be respectful and specific. For example, say, "I'm upset that you
borrowed my textbook and tore off some pages," instead of, "You are
always careless with other people's property."

No. 7: Don't hold a grudge

Forgiveness is a powerful tool. If you allow anger and other negative
feelings to crowd out positive feelings, you might find yourself
swallowed up by your own bitterness or sense of injustice.

But if you can forgive someone who angered you, you might both learn
from the situation. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to behave
exactly as you want at all times.
