Looks like the feud ain't over yet between rappers Young Jeezy and
Rick Ross. According to numerous tweets from Funkmaster Flex (and
others), the two rappers got into an altercation backstage at the BET
Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta, which allegedly spilled out into the
parking lot. The feud between the two dates back in August 2010,
when Jeezy released "Death B4 Dishonor"--which contains lines that
were supposedly disses directed toward Ross. Tonight, though, things
apparently got physical. "Jeezy and Rick Ross just had words
backstage!!" DJ and MTV host Funkmaster Flex tweeted.
"Pushing and shoving!!!" "Beef just spread to the parking lot!!!" he
continued, later adding: "Shots fired in parking lot!!! Gunman
arrested!!! Back to the show and Club later!!!" But the Atlanta
Journal-Constitution's music scene blog reports that no shots were
fired, and Georgia police made no arrests.
Neither rapper has yet to comment on the incident, but both used
Twitter to let their followers know that they were OK and weren't
going to let a little ill-will derail their afterparty plans.
Ross tweeted: "#MMG shut B.E.T down !!!Tonight we show u how to ball
Rozay & @2chainz Mansion Élan #GoldParty" Jeeezy also revealed his
post-awards plans: "TONIGHT!! @iamdiddy, @chrisbrown and I are taking
over COMPOUND for the BET Hip Hop Awards after party!" The awards
ceremony, which was briefly delayed during the incident, was taped
tonight for broadcast on Oct. 9.
