LATEST : REASON BEHIND TIWA SAVAGE’S UNAVAILABILITY FOR NIGERIAN IDOLS SEASON 3 REVEALED

When Optima Media Group (OMG), producers of Nigerian Idol launched the
third season of the talent search show on Wednesday, September 19,
2012 at a widely publicized media event held in Lagos, two prominent
faces were absent – a judge Charly Boy and co-host Tiwa Savage.

While Charly Boy's unavailability has been allegedly tied to loose
ends in financial compensation package, there has no news about why
Tiwa Savage, season 2′s co-host is also not returning.

However, her reps have told our source that the singer is just too
busy working on developing her career fully and trying to wrap up work
on her album which is expected to drop before the end of this year.

'It was difficult to combine with an increasingly time-consuming
schedule. Nigerian Idol is something she will like to do again in the
near future but not before she releases her new album amongst other
things', a rep from MAVIN Records, Tiwa's label told our source.

The rep however says Tiwa 'thoroughly enjoyed her time on the show'.

A rep for OMG tells us we should wait for the show to commence before
making any conclusions. 'Why don't we wait till the season starts,
then you can ask me', Tiwa Medubi says.

Illrhymz will remain the solo host for the third season. Tiwa and
Illrhymz took over as hosts of the second season in 2011 after Misi
Molu and Anis Halloway had hosted the first season. Be social
