Thierry Henry returns to Arsenal training

Thierry Henry returned to training with Arsenal, with a possibility he
could re-join the club for a third spell in January, on a loan deal.

The Gunners record goal-scorer is just keeping fit during the MLS
off-season, and Wenger remains coy on whether he will sign him next
month, to bolster his attacking unit.
"I've not lost interest in him," Wenger said.

"He's still coming to practice with us. We are very close
(personally), but at the moment I think he has had second spell at
the club that was very successful. You have to be cautious that it's
not one time too many.

"I have not completely ruled it out but I haven't spoken about it with
him at all."

Aww!! Governor Wada’s leg totally broken, flownto Abuja for treatment

Report reaching me states that Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris
Wada, may have lost one of his legs in the ghastly car crash, he was
involved in on Friday. Wada received first aid at the Lokoja
Specialist Hospital, and the doctors said his leg is "totally broken".
They revealed that Wada was rushed into the intensive care unit, with
a severely fractured femur.

However, the doctors confirmed that he is in good condition and did
not sustain injuries to his head or spinal cord. The accident, which
happened on the Lokoja-Ajaokuta road, claimed the lives of one of his
aides and left two others injured.

Governor Wada, has been flown to the National Hospital in Abuja, with
a helicopter arranged by the State Government and a source said he was
in "serious pains". Meanwhile, reports say the cause of the accident
may be 'banking', as there are no potholes on the stretch of road,
where the accident happened. Its well. Ooooo ...

Koko Concert: Don Jazzy 1 – D’Banj 0

So, the Koko Concert went down last night. Am really catching my fun
right now on twitter. Buh lemme gist you with dis lovely twist culled
....

"The worst day of my life! Dec 27th,Koko concert. Despite d
negativity, I managed to hold my head up nd stay positive! Home
now..#NeverAgain," Channel O presenter, Denrele Edun tweeted in the
wee hours of Friday.

Even by his very lofty eccentric standards, the wild-haired could not
deal with this audition for the steel-hearted, with experience in
covering long distances by foot.
Like @utomisphere tweeted, this one was the survival of the fittest.
His tweet read: "Koko Concert was actually a scouting session for
Nigeria's next Olympians."

So, holla, if you passed it. Tweet it, trumpet it, tell it loud and
clear. Like @Sirkastiq added, "No really, those of you who are the
koko concert survivors need to add it to your bios. Such feat deserves
respect."

But beyond all the Koko Walk of Life, dusty shoes, disappearing
make-up, noisesome pestilence and lustful cravings to see Idris Elba,
this is one battle D'Banj has lost, as he tries to outdo former
business partner, Don Jazzy.

Don Jazzy opens PoP, D'Banj also announces the opening of his night
club in Victoria Island. Please note, by this time, both are already
CEOs of labels, that are trying to get off the ground.

Not satisfied with the glory he has gotten, D'Banj goes ahead and
organises the Koko Concert, which previously featured all the members
of the defunct MoHits Crew. This time around, the Kokomaster went for
international flavour – Hollywood actor Idris Elba, Pusha T and Big
Sean, were here in alltheir might.

One sensitive area where he conveniently ignored, was logistics. Even
with all the ravings and rantings, it was a good show from all
accounts. But imagine it was staged at the Expo Hall and not the Eko
Atlantic (or is it Bar Beach now)?

A lot of Nigerians are not happy right now with D'Banj.
All attention is now on Don Jazzy. Will he or will not swallow the
bait and stage his own concert? For now, the scoreboard reads: "Don
Jazzy 1 – D'Banj 0″

Stallone did not copy screenplay for "The Expendables": judge

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A federal judge has reaffirmed his decision to
dismiss a lawsuit accusing actor Sylvester Stallone of copying someone
else's screenplay to make his popular 2010 movie "The Expendables."

U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff in Manhattan on Thursday rejected
claims of copyright infringement damages by Marcus Webb, who contended
that the movie's screenplay contained 20 "striking similarities" to
his own "The Cordoba Caper."

Webb claimed that both works had similar plots, and involved hired
mercenaries in a Latin American country that was home to a villain
dictator named General Garza.

But Rakoff said no reasonable juror could find that the works were so
similar as to eliminate the possibility that Stallone crafted his
screenplay on his own.

Not even the general's name was an automatic red flag, Rakoff said,
writing that "Garza" was the 34th most common Hispanic nickname in the
United States.

"The court has carefully examined the entire litany of plaintiff's
proffered 'striking similarities' and finds none of them remotely
striking or legally sufficient," Rakoff wrote. "These are two very
different screenplays built on a familiar theme: mercenaries taking on
a Latin American dictator."

Other defendants in the case included Nu Image Films, which produced
the movie, and Lions Gate Entertainment Corp, which distributed the
movie in the United States.

Lawyers for Webb did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

"The Expendables" was released in August 2010, and featured other
older action stars like Jet Li and Arnold Schwarzenegger. A sequel,
"The Expendables 2," was released in August 2012.

In June, Rakoff decided to dismiss Webb's case [ID:nL2E8HQA93] but did
not provide his reasons until Thursday.
