TOOLZ EXCLUSIVE: 'WHY I'M LAUNCHING MY WEBSITE'

The dashing BEAT FM 99.9 radio personality opened up on why she
thought of having her personal website.

'A good friend of mine who is in social media advised me about 18
months ago to have my own (web) site as in his own words 'all media
personalities should have one'. But as I felt I was still very new to
the industry it just didn't feel like the right time',Toolz explains.

She said she forget about the whole idea until earlier in the year
when she travelled on holidays and paid a visit to BBC Radio 1Xtra
studios in the UK.

'I was having a discussion with one of their producers, and they asked
if I would like to be a guest on Tim Westwood's show – I jumped at the
opportunity. They have to get background info on all their guests
before final approval, and they asked for my website and bio, and of
course I didn't have one. I decided then and there to get the wheels
moving on my website', she says.

So what should fans expect from the website? Toolz says it isn't going
to be your formal profile-bio-photo portal as she's got great plans
for us!

'It initially was supposed to be an online home for my bio and bits
and pieces of work that I've done, but after consulting with my friend
once more, he convinced me to make the idea much bigger, and thus
'www.ToolzO.net' was born'.

She discloses that the site will focus heavily on music, feature
interviews, news articles and will also showcase work she has done
like 'The Juice' shows for Ndani TV, interviews she's had and much
more.

'I also plan to put new projects on www.ToolzO.net – there are several
TV ideas that I havethat have been 'under development' for an
annoyingly long period of time. Developing and airing TV projects can
be very hard to execute in Nigeria, but I believe there's always a way
around all hurdles. I feel the online platform is quite under-used in
Nigeria, and having my own website will allowme to essentially get the
content that I'm passionate about out there'.

Without D'Banj, I Would Have Been A Waste, He Made Me-- Don Jazzy

Don Jazzy and D'Banj

The name Don Jazzy today surely commands some respect in the Nigerian
showbiz world. A decade ago, when such name is mentioned, questions
would arise about who and what does the name mean. Like that tiny tear
in a cloth that was never quickly stitched, Don Jazzy expanded and
took many by storm in the entertainment industry to the extent that
there is nothing anyone can do about him anymore.

To some industry icons he used to see as 'big thing' in the game,
this multiple award-winning producer has surpassed
them. Not wanting the Yoruba proverbial saying that 'the river
that forgets its source would get dried up', Don Jazzy went online to
give honour to those due, especially those who have influenced his
booming career.

After paying his first respect to 2Face, he stated about JJC when he
posted, "Kudos to JJC for without him, I would still be doing 'tungba'
(local) music. [I am] not saying that it (tungba music) is not good.
But I found out I was better doing something else."

Turning to D'Banj, Don Jazzy has this to say, "KUDOS to my bro, D'Banj
for without him, my production skills I gathered from JJC might have
been a waste. Dude made me Don Jazzy." He went ahead to honour Wande
Coal, D'Prince and
others including his Federal Government College, Ijanikin, Lagos pals.

I WANT TO BE BURIED AT STAMFORD BRIDGE-MR IBU

John Okafor, who is popularly known as Mr Ibu, talked about his
burning desire which many can not even fathom while while watching
this clown do his thing. Check out what he said below:

The Enugu State-born thespian in a recent interview gave what many
would tag 'Soccer Shocker when he said he would not mind to be
interred at Stamford Bridge, the home ground of European Champions,
Chelsea Football Club. He said: "Yes of course, blue is the colour of
my blood. It runs in my blood stream. I will remain a Chelsea fan
until I die. When you love something, you must be addicted to it. A
typical example is Indian hemp smokers. They only understand languages
relating to Indian hemp. When an Indian hemp smoker is talking, his
spirit can automatically tell him to shut up and he will obey. The
same Indian hemp spirit can equally order him to pull off his clothes
and go Unclad. The message I am passing to you is that I am completely
addicted to the affairs of Chelsea as a football team. I love Chelsea
so much that I don't care if I'm buried at Stamford Bridge.

"Funny enough, all Chelsea victories are magical. If you want to know
whether I am a true fan of Chelsea ask me the names of all their
players and the positions they play. I can also tell you the best
player in every position. Anelka was a roving player that helps other
strikers when he was around. The only problem he had was
inconsistency. He does well, sometimes he functions well, and some
other times he does not. My problem with Mata is that he is a one
legged player. Hulk is supposed to be with us but I do not know what
happened. I call him Incredible Hulk because he wears the look. I am
happy that Hazard is now with us and has been doing very well since he
came on board." He added.

DON JAZZY; “TUFACE HAS GREATLY INFLUENCED ME”

Award-winning producer, Michael Collins, popularly known as Don Jazzy
discovered #Kudos was a Lagos trend on twitter and used that
opportunity to give it to some people who deserve it.

In his tweet about Tuface, he said the African music icon has greatly
influenced him. "#KUDOS to our baba 2face for just being who he is. i
dont think he knows how much he has influenced me."

Don Jazzy also gave kudos to his number one critic and brother,
D'Prince who he said challenged him to do more.
"#KUDOS to D'Prince who made sure he criticized all my beats till I
made Tongolo remix. I kinda always wanted to prove to him I could do
it."

And for those who still thinks he's not in good terms with D'Banj, Don
Jazzy has this to say;
"@DONJAZZY: #KUDOS to my bro Dbanj for without him my production
skills i gathered from JJC might have been a waste. dude made me don
jazzy." Obviously, Don Jazzy still regards D'Banj a brother.

You have to love Don Jazzy, he's this good producer with a grateful
heart. He also gave kudos to Wande Coal and JJC.
"@DONJAZZY: #KUDOS to Wandecoal for making my beats sound great with
his voice from heaven. and for the name Don baba J"
"@DONJAZZY: #Kudos 2 JJC 4 w/out him i wld still B doing tungba music.
not saying that is not gd. but i found out i was better doing
something else"

Don Jazzy wants his twitter verification ASAP. We hope twitter read this;
"@DONJAZZY: No #Kudos to twitter for not verifying me o. lol
apparently has something to do with amount of people im following blah
blah blah"

over his much coveted marriage with Britney is quite prevalent.

PHOTO : LADY GAGA CRAZY MONSTER OUTFIT

Well, we give up. A day after Lady Gaga invited folks like Paris
Hilton and Marc Jacobs to watch her nap in a tinted plastic pod that
definitely was a none-too-distant cousin of the egg contraption she
hatched from at the Grammys last year, the pop star showed up for her
Fame fragrance launch at Macy's in a relatively unusual horse-drawn
carriage.

But then she got out of the carriage. Mother Monster outdid herself
for her appearance in New York City Friday. Her Alien-meets-monster
look included a gold crown covering the upper half of her face and a
black latex "jacket" (a word that doesn't even begin to do it justice)
molded into a swooping hunchback shape that was pure sci-fi from the
back.

In a nod to the Fame ad campaign, her towering black boots were
crawling with little gold men meant to look like they were struggling
to ascend Mt. Gaga. While she may have tweaked her M.O. since claiming
her perfume would include notes of blood and semen, Gaga certainly
didn't go the ordinary vanilla-and-bergamot route or anything in
crafting her first signature fragrance.

"I wanted it to be a very slutty perfume," said on Good Morning
America today. "Because that is sort of the addictive nature of fame
that it is, it is seductive.

" The "first ever black eau de parfume" also, thankfully, just
features "tears of belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea with a
black veil of incense, pulverized apricot and the combinative essences
of saffron and honey drops," according to the description on the
purple and black bottle.

in the world. The Great Dane Zeus Standing on his hind legs, stretches
to 7-foot (2.13-meter)-4-inch (101.-millimeter) and towers over his
owner, Denise Doorlag. Zeus is just an inch taller than the previous
record-holder, Giant George. Zeus weighs 155 pounds (70 kilograms) and
eats around 12 cups of food a day. That's equivalent to one 30-pound
(13.6-kilogram) bag of food.

The three-year-old Great Dane's owner Denise Doorlag told AFP: "The
most common thing people ask is: 'Is that a dog or a horse?' We had to
get a van to be able to transport him, oh, and if he steps on your
foot he leaves bruises!"

FAME OR SHAME : POLICE ORDERS DAVIDO'S ARREST, TO BE PROSECUTED SOON?

According to what Punch Newspaper reported, on Aug. 12, 2012, CRIME
DIGEST reported that popular singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido,
allegedly assaulted a taxi driver in Lagos and
that his publicist, Valerie Obaeze, claimed via an e-mail that the
singer knew nothing about the incident.
In a related development, Hashiru Azeez, the employer of the taxi
driver, whose name is Femi Ajibola, told CRIME DIGEST that Davido
himself said that the taxi driver was assaulted by his cousins. Azeez
confirmed that he gave a Toyota Corolla to Ajibola on hire purchase.

"I gave it out to him on hire purchase. When Ajibola initially told me
about this matter, I did not believe him. Later, I went to Beni's
Apartment in company with Sgt. Nuru Umar, who is the Investigating
Police Officer, and we found out that he was right.

"We went to the DPO and he called Davido's father after I took time to
explain who the boy was," Azeez said.

Immediately after the story was published, the young woman who was
conveyed in the cab to see Davido allegedly threatened Ajibola at the
taxi park where he operates.

"I got a call from Ajibola that Susan allgedly went to the park to
threaten him. She said that if he was claiming that he lost N100,000
during the incident with Davido, she would pay the money. Then she
asked if the cab driver had forgotten that she lost her cell-phone,
which was valued at N175,000.

"She said that Ajibola would have to produce her phone because he was
the one that took them to the hotel in his cab. She added that she
would deal with him," he said.

The car dealer said he had advised his employee to report the matter
at the nearest police station.

However, since the case had initially been reported at the Bar Beach
Police Station, Ajibola was directed to go and lodge his complaint
there.

Azeez said, "Ajibola went to Maroko Police Station, but he was
directed to the Bar Beach Police Station because he had already
reported the case there."

Azeez said that a petition had been written on his behalf to the
Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 about the
incident. He stated that somehow, the Adelekes got wind of this and
contacted him for a meeting.

"A lawyer, Malachy Ukwamadu, wrote a petition on our behalf to the AIG
Zone 2. We had written the petition even before the publication.
Somehow, the Adeleke family got to know that we had written a petition
and they got someone to ask me to come with Ajibola to the Bar Beach
Police Station. They said they would bring Davido to the station. The
boy had surrendered himself and the police were ready to prosecute
him. It was hard to believe, but I was optimistic," the car dealer
said.

Azeez said he was advised not to honour the invitation by a policeman
who warned that the case might be tilted to the advantage of Davido.

"The policeman warned that there was an ulterior motive behind the
invitation. He said the moment that Ajibola stepped into the Bar Beach
Police Station, the case would change and turn against him.

"This prompted us to invite a lawyer to go to the station instead of
Ajibola. Ukwamadu was out of town. So, we invited Bar. Ademola
Olamide. While we waited for them to bring Davido, the IPO told the
lawyer that they wanted to negotiate.

"Olamide said that he thought they wanted to bring in Davido and why
was it that it was the police that wanted to negotiate. Should they
not be neutral?" Azeez said.

The lawyer insisted he would not talk to the police unless they
brought Davido to the station. The IPO then phoned somebody who spoke
with Olamide and agreed to meet him.

When meeting took place on Aug. 12, the lawyer informed Azeez that the
picture painted by Davido was different from what he had learnt from
the complainant.

Azeez said, "I was asked to come over to explain. Fortunately, we had
our witness. While the counsel was disputing what we said, we called
in the witness. He is a driver and he drove along with Ajibola; he had
some guys in his vehicle and I learnt that those girls brought those
guys.

"When we brought in our witness, they calmed down. Davido then said
that he was not the one that assaulted Ajibola. He said that the guys
we were claiming were his bodyguards were actually his cousins. He
said that it was Bayo, one of his cousins, who beat up Ajibola."

Suspecting a foul play somewhere, Azeez asked what business Bayo had
with Susan since she was Davido's girlfriend.

"We told him that from his conversation, Susan was his girlfriend and
why would Bayo beat up Susan? At a point, they said that they would
like to compensate Ajibola and that they wanted to know how much
Ajibola made in a day.

"They said that they would pay two weeks' earnings. I was not there
when they were discussing the money issue. I told my lawyer that there
was no basis for compensation since he denied assaulting Ajibola. I
said he should produce those who beat up Ajibola, that the police
should do their job and we would know what step to take from there,"
he said.

Azeez told CRIME DIGEST that Ajibola's car keys had not been returned
to him. He said that an agency that fights for the cause of the less
privileged had contacted him and was ready to help out in the matter.

"The agency champions the cause of the less privileged and they are
willing to assist us in seeking justice. Davido claims he was not the
one that assaulted the driver; but how did he get hold of the car keys
before handing it to his father and later, the DPO?

"Why would he take someone's car keys and keep them? Up till now,
nobody has confirmed if Davido has written any statement regarding
this case. We still believe that he is above the law until he comes
out to say his own part of the story. If at all we agree to negotiate
with him, he should accept that he was wrong to have assaulted a man
that is 16 years older than him andapologise for his behaviour. Then
we will know what to do from there," he said.

When CRIME DIGEST contacted Susan on the phone, a male voice answered
the call, claiming it was a wrong number. However, Obaeze, Davido's
publicist, maintained that her client knew nothing about the incident.

In an e-mail to CRIME DIGEST, the publicist wrote, "Thanks for your
enquiry and effort to get our own side of the story, but our previous
statement (still) stands. Davido was neither aware of nor involved in
any incident involving the assault of a taxi driver or the illegal
seizure of his keys. He does not condone violence in any form and will
not be commenting further on this matter."

The Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 2 Police Command, Femi
Balogun, confirmed that the case was being handled by his command. He
said that the AIG had ordered that Davido should be brought before him
with the Toyota Corolla used as taxi. He said they did not know where
Davido is and he would be picked up once they have information on his
whereabouts.
