Robbers Raid Ministry Of Finance In Kwara State, Cart Away All Financial Records Of Saraki-Era

"Burglars have made an unprecedented break-in at the Kwara State
Ministry of Finance, carting away undisclosed amounts of money as well
as all documents, including their electronic backups, which detailed
government transactions since 2003.

A top government functionary told SaharaReporters that the burglars
first attempted to break into the Accountant General's office in the
Ministry in the early hours of Friday,
September 21, but the guards and the burglary- proof doors foiled the attack.

The attackers returned on Saturday night armed with different tools
grenades and even a power generator with which they broke into the
offices where the documents and money were kept, the source said.

The burglary story first surfaced on Twitter, where a whistleblower
mentioned it last Tuesday, prompting a terse response from Dr.Muideen
Akorede, Governor Abdulfattah Ahmed's spokesman, who dubbed the
incident a "robbery" that is investigation.

Saraki has denied any wrongdoing in the case, which he labels as
political blackmail being sponsored by his traducers.

The police are yet to charge him in the case, but the Police
Commissioner heading the Special Fraud Unit (SFU), Mr Tunde Ogunsakin,
was reported as saying recently that investigations into the case have
reached top gear and that it will soon be charged to court."

Imagine the thieves even went with generator in order to be able to
see clearly all the documents they needed to take.kinda funny but it
is a serious issue !!!!!

Latest : MAN DIVORCES WIFE FOR GIVING BIRTH TO BABY GIRL

It is believed that woman is a pride of every home, but for Mr.
Lukman Agoro reverse is the case.

The 51- year-old man was said to have allegedly thrown his wife,
Sadiat, out of their matrimonial home for giving birth to a bouncing
baby girl.

The wife who was dragged before an Agege customary court by her hubby
for not allowing him to see his daughter, however said that Lukman had
earlier cautioned her that the reason she would continue to live
under the same roof with him is to give him a male child.

Sadiat alleged that her husband once vowed that he would not Carter
for the child and that she ( Sadiat ) would raise the child at her
parents house.

The wife also told the court that barely three months after she gave
birth to her daughter, Lukman threw her belongings out of his house,
and claimed that he didn't have interest in the relationship any
longer. " To my surprise, Lukman came to my parents house when my
daughter was exactly one year old claiming that he wanted to mark the
little girl's birthday".

Sadiat added that her daughter ran way from him, because she didn't
know him as a father. In his submission, Lukman told the court that
his mother-in-law doesn't like his face, adding that she doesn't want
her daughter to live with him as his wife.

He therefore prayed that the court should dissolve the marriage and
grant him custody of the girl.
Meanwhile, the case was adjourned till October 24, 2012 for further
hearing. (culled from Daily Post)

Latest : Singer Tee Mac Calls Bishop David Oyedepo “A Money Grabbing Fraudster”

Popular singer Tee Mac Iseli, while reacting to a Facebook trend
lambasts Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel, calling him a "money
grabbing (tax free) fraud" over God
knows what.

But what is ironic about the whole story was that, Tee Mac's company
was enjoying the patronage of the Bishop's organization for 2years
through his quarry company that was getting supply contracts.

According to inside source, Tee Mac's company no longer does business
with the ministry due to controversial circumstances, and now he is
running his mouth all around.

You don't believe in someone's ministry but you find it easy to get
paid from his so-called fraudulent proceeds?

God definitely knows who deserve punishment.

Go Home , Labaran Maku Forced To Abandon Parade As Nigerians In New York Protest

Nigeria's Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, thought he was going
to have a smooth sail in America where he went for an event, he must
have undermined the resolve of Nigerians in the diaspora to
effectively mobilize and ridicule government officials in order to
send a strong message of discontentment with the situation of things
at home.

Members of the New York-based Nigeria Liberty Democratic Forum (NLDF)
had earlier today staged a dramatic flash protest that forced Labaran
Maku to abandon New York City Day Independence parade. The parade is
an annual event organized by the Nigerian government and some Nigerian
organizations in the US.

The NLDF protesters were led by Bukola Oreofe, an official of the
group. The protesters had joined the colorful parade from 51st Street
and 2nd Avenue when word spread that Mr. Maku was the "Parade Marshal"
and led a troupe of Nigerian diplomats who waved the Nigerian flag at
different groups as they danced the Nigeria House on 44th Street.

The NDLF members staged their traditional protest march past the
Nigerian government officials. Shortly after, the protesters
penetrated the area where the Nigerian minister and other officials
were and began a flash protest. The protesters sang protest songs
against the Goodluck Jonathan administration. Facing the minister,
they shouted, "Go Home!" They also accused Nigerian officials of
corruption and insensitivity to the plight of the vast majority of
Nigerians.

One of the protesters told a correspondent of SaharaReporters that Mr.
Maku "should return to Nigeria. and sympathize with millions of
Nigerians who are currently besieged by a massive flood disaster that
has affected 22 states." So far, the floods have claimed the lives of
148 Nigerians.

Other protesters demanded that the minister help to fix Nigeria's
myriad problems to ensure that Nigerians can celebrate their
Independence Day in public without fear of terrorist attacks.

As the protests became charged, the Nigerian officials called in
police officers from the New York Police Department to drive the
protesters away. However, the NYPD officials showed no inclination to
force out the protesters. Instead, the officers stood guard around the
protesters to forestall any breakdown of law and order.

Once it became clear to the Nigerian delegates that NYPD officers
would not force the protesters to leave, Mr. Maku and the diplomats
left the stage and hurriedly retired inside the Nigeria House. Their
disappearance brought the parade to an abrupt end.

The jubilant protesters continued to sing protest songs and addressed
onlookers about the deplorable condition of their country. They warned
that more protests against Nigerian officials visiting the US would be
planned and staged.

Mourinho: Messi and Ronaldo are from another planet

The Portuguese coach was positive about his side's performance despite
failing to close the gap on its fiercest rival and admitted he enjoyed
the match - especially the talismanic pair's displays.

"Messi and Ronaldo are from another planet. I want my player to win,
but they are both fantastic," enthused Mourinho.

"As a coach, I've enjoyed the game. It was a great match and the
result wasn't decided until the final moment.

Everyone has enjoyed the game too." Mourinho also reserved special
words of praise for the performance of Mesut Ozil, telling reporters:
"Ozil provided us with quality and had a great match."

The result sees Barcelona remain on top of the Liga table with a lead
of three points, while maintaining the eight point gap over fifth
place Madrid after seven games.

Ronaldo ,Messi ensure Eye to Eye Clasico draw

BARCELONA (AFP) -Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo both scored twice
as Barcelona and Real Madrid drew 2-2 in a politically-charged
Clasico on Sunday which kept the Catalan giants eight poins ahead of
their bitter rivals.

Ronaldo put Madrid ahead after 23 minute but Messi responded just
after the half hour mark with Barca having shown little going forward.

The 98,000 capacity crowd of vociferous Catalans glimpsed the
possibility of going 11 points clear after Messi struck a free-kick to
put them ahead after the break but Ronaldo responded five minutes
later.

In the dying stages, Barca had the chance to win it with Martin
Montoya hitting the woodwork.

On a tense night at Camp Nou, fans created a mosaic of the Catalan
flag, "The Senyera", in a clear demonstration of the nationalist
fervour in the region where many want independence from Spain.

In a surprise move, Barca lined up with Adriano Correia in the centre
of defence alongside Javier Mascherano with Carles Puyol and Gerard
Pique both injured.

Real coach Jose Mourinho put his confidence in the side which won the
league last season with Mesut Ozil returning to the starting line-up
despite a poor start to the campaign where Luka Modric appeared to
have moved above him in the pecking order.

In a cautious opening, Barca had possession but were generally too
deep and the Madrid players were happy to sit on the halfway line,
looking to pounce when their moves
broke down.

Despite their impressive winning streak, which had yielded six
victories in the opening six La Liga matches, Barca have lacked their
usual silky passing and their hesitation was made worse by a lack of
confidence in their defence.

Angel Di Maria had an early shot wide and Adriano was forced into a
last ditch clearance but the first clear opportunity fell to Karim
Benzema after 12 minutes.

However, volleying the ball on the full from a Ronaldo cross, he
blazed wide. The general air of nationalism was again demonstrated
after 17 minutes and 14 seconds when fans raised their Senyera flags
and chanted for freedom for Catalonia.

The moment was chosen as a reference to the fall of Barcelona in 1714
during the War of Spanish Succession when Catalonia came under
centralised rule from Madrid.
Sergio Ramos had the chance to put Madrid in the driving seat after 20
minutes but allowed a clear header from a corner he was unable to hit
the target.

Madrid looked the more incisive side going forward and they got their
reward when Ronaldo beat keeper Victor Valdes at his near post with a
low left-foot drive after being played in by Benzema.

The Frenchman then failed to double the advantage, leaning back with
his shot from 12 yards, and the ball came back off the post while Di
Maria hit the follow-up wide. opening.

Pepe jumped and failed to connect with the ball which dropped at the
feet of Messi in front of goal and he slotted home.

The match lost its cageyness, but after the break neither side was
able to take control with imprecise passing and niggly fouls creating
few clear cut chances.

It was at this moment that Barcelona received a moment of inspiration
from Messi with a 25-yard free-kick into the top corner after he
himself had been fouled.

The goal was Messi's 17th in Clasico matches.

Ronaldo though was not to be outdone and, latching onto an Ozil pass
in the area he finished clinically. What a beautiful display tonight

The Day When Beyonce Leaves Jay-Z Speechless During 'Crazy In Love' Performance

Beyonce had the crowd on their feet when she took the stage at the end
of her hubby Jay-Z's sold out show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn
Saturday night.

In skin tight leather pants, a leather jacket and sky high heels, she
took the stage alone and began singing Crazy in Love -- which
apparently is just what Jay-Z is!

He was spotted in the wings, watching his wife on the monitor and
smiling broadly.

He actually missed his cue to join her on stage, and was head saying
"Oh s**t, I should probably rap here," as he raced into the spotlight.

The two followed up with Young Forever, ending with them exchanging a
hug, a kiss, and a love pat on her derriere, before Beyonc left the
stage.

Jay and Beyonc were once the most private of couples but since the
birth of their daughter Blue Ivy in January, they seem to be
thoroughly enjoying sharing how happy they are.

LATEST : REASON BEHIND TIWA SAVAGE’S UNAVAILABILITY FOR NIGERIAN IDOLS SEASON 3 REVEALED

When Optima Media Group (OMG), producers of Nigerian Idol launched the
third season of the talent search show on Wednesday, September 19,
2012 at a widely publicized media event held in Lagos, two prominent
faces were absent – a judge Charly Boy and co-host Tiwa Savage.

While Charly Boy's unavailability has been allegedly tied to loose
ends in financial compensation package, there has no news about why
Tiwa Savage, season 2′s co-host is also not returning.

However, her reps have told our source that the singer is just too
busy working on developing her career fully and trying to wrap up work
on her album which is expected to drop before the end of this year.

'It was difficult to combine with an increasingly time-consuming
schedule. Nigerian Idol is something she will like to do again in the
near future but not before she releases her new album amongst other
things', a rep from MAVIN Records, Tiwa's label told our source.

The rep however says Tiwa 'thoroughly enjoyed her time on the show'.

A rep for OMG tells us we should wait for the show to commence before
making any conclusions. 'Why don't we wait till the season starts,
then you can ask me', Tiwa Medubi says.

Illrhymz will remain the solo host for the third season. Tiwa and
Illrhymz took over as hosts of the second season in 2011 after Misi
Molu and Anis Halloway had hosted the first season. Be social
