“Take Me To Court” –Bisi Ibidapo-Obe Dares Dino Melaye

Shortly after the news came out that Nollywood actress Bisi
Ibidapo-Obe christened her daughter as the daughter of former lawmaker
Dino Melaye , many were of the opinion that she might be committing a
crime and may be sued.

The sultry actress told whoever cares to listen to tell Dino Melaye to
take herto court for giving her daughter her real father's last name.

According to our source; "Bisi dared Dino Melaye to take her to court
for giving her daughter her real father's last name. She said the
court will then mandate him to stand for a DNA test, and the whole
truth will be out."

When the lawmaker heard that the actress named her daughter Dino
Melaye, he just laughed and said being a Melaye is not an honorary
award, and she isfree to give her child any name she desires.

But he also advised her to do her daughter a favor by letting her know
who her real father is.

Can't Mr. Lawmaker just submit himself for a DNA and put all these
bickerrings to rest?

If Fashola still smokes despite warnings , motorbike operators also have a right to continue their operations -NLC

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) headquarters in Lagos on Monday,
came short of a war front, as Motorcycle (Okada) riders encountered
armed policemen, causing gridlock on the Yaba-Ojuelegba road.

Apparently acting on orders, the policemen surrounded the NLC
building, take-off point of the protest. This however did little to
deter the organisers, Joint Action Front (JAF), as they remained
adamant, saying they needed no permit to hold a peaceful rally.

As tension grew, the police who were already overwhelmed by the
gathering, called for reinforcement from nearby stations. Four of the
people distributing leaflets among the crowd were later arrested, an
action which further angered the protesters.

Protesting further against the obstruction of the rally, JAF
Secretary, Comrade Abiodun Aremu, told the police team thus "If
Fashola still smokes despite warnings that tobacco smokers are liable
to die young; motorbike operators also have a right to continue their
operations with provided warnings that bike passengers are liable to
be injured in an accident".

Justin Bieber Throws Water Bottle at Paparazzi in Miami

How nice of Justin Bieber to offer those thirsty photographers a
drink! At least, that's what we'll assume he was doing when he chucked
a plastic water bottle in the paparazzi's direction on his way out of
a store in Miami yesterday.

No further drama occurred, it not being one of those days for the
Biebs, but the 19-year-old is still probably pretty lucky that no cops
were around to witness his mild outburst. According to state law,
there's a $50 fine for littering, plus a judge could make him pick up
trash or "perform other labor commensurate with the offense committed.

" It's unclear what provoked the reaction, other than the paparazzi's
general presence, but perhaps a curious shutterbug asked how Bieber
was feeling after being shut out of the Grammy nominations.

But it's the paps in Washington, D.C., who better duck now--Bieber,
who also just announced a slew of summer 2013 dates on his Believe
World Tour, was in town tonight to headline Hot 99.5's Jingle Ball
concert.

Nurse At Center Of Royal Prank Phone Call Left Suicide Note

Jacintha Saldanha** -- the nurse found dead after a phone prank to
Kate Middleton's hospital room from an Australian radio duo received
worldwide attention -- left a suicide note, RadarOnline.com has
learned.

News outlets in the UK reported the presence of a note Tuesday, though
the contents of the purported note have not been made public this
time. One clue as to what it might reveal came from comments from her
brother Naveen, who told Mail Online Sunday that the nurse was
"aproper and righteous person" who "would have would have felt much
shame about the incident."

Meanwhile, an autopsy is being performed Tuesday on Saldanhas body,
who was found dead last Friday -- only days after the prank gone
horribly wrong.

As we previously reported, the 46-year-old wife and mother-of-two was
the senior duty nurse at the King Edward VII Hospital when two
Australian radio DJs Mel Greig** and Michael Christian** called
pretending to be the Queen and Prince Charles.

The phone call was made at 5:30 a.m. last Tuesday, before the
hospitals secretary had started work. Saldanha was helping out by
answering calls when she was unwittingly tricked.

In the wake ofSaldanha'sdeath, her family is demanding answers from
the private hospital over the circumstances that led to the tragic
end, saying an internal inquiry is not enough. Her husband Ben Barboza,
49, and their children Junal, 17 and Lisha, 14, have demanded to know
everything."

Labor MP Keith Vaz, who is representing the family, met hospital
chairman Lord Glenarthur to demand a full inquiry into her death.

Vaz, the chairman of the Commons home affairs committee, said that
"what the family need are the full facts. What the chairman of the
hospital said to me was that there are inquiries going on in the
hospitalthat is not sufficient for the family.

"There are unexplained circumstances. The family want to know
everything. All the facts, fully and clearly. The hospital needs to be
more proactive, a full inquiry is needed and the family need to be
included in that.

An NHS accountant,Barboza and his children live in Bristol, while the
nurse stayed in staff accommodations at the West London hospital.

Vaz called theSaldanhasa lovely close-knit family, a Catholic family,
who will be spending their first Christmas without their mother, and
for Ben, without his wife.

He said the family was in the dark about the hoax call" and "hadnt
watched the news or seen anything about it," not even knowing their
involvement "until after Jacinthas death.

Meanwhile, the radio station that employsGreig and Christian have
canceled the stations annual Christmas party, saying it wouldnt be
appropriate given the tragedy.

In addition, Southern Cross Austereo, the company which owns 2Day FM,
said it would be donating more than $500,000 to a memorial fund set up
in the late nurses name by King Edward VII Hospital.

We hope that by contributing to a memorial fund we can help to provide
the Saldanha family with the support they need at this very difficult
time, saidRhys Holleran, Southern Cross Austereos chief executive.

As Yonlineng.com previously reported, Greig and Christian have
tearfully apologized for the prank, and remain on indefinite
suspension.

Am in Bondage because of Marriage, I can’t catch fun again - Sola Kosoko–Abinna

Sola Kosoko is versatile and graces the screen with her nice
interpretation of roles. The daughter of the veteran actor, Prince
Jide Kosoko, in this interview with DOYIN ADEOYE, talks about her
career, her marriage and style.

AT what point did you discover your talent in acting?

I started acting when I was young because I've been featuring in
movies since then, but I never knew I'd take it up as a career and
become a full time actress. The first movie I featured in was in I987,
which was Omo Orukan. It was a celluloid film where I played the role
of young Peju Ogunmola.

What was the first major role you played as a professional?

That would be Oko Irese in 2000 and Olorire in 2001. Both movies shot
me into limelight.

What inspires your movies?

When I produced Sindara, what motivated me to come up with a story
like that were the challenges that confront couples on blending their
professional demands and marital responsibilities. So the movie was
about how to balance the situation and it also focused on the societal
expectation of women.

How has marriage affected your career?

Marriage has not really changed much about me, aside the fact that it
reduces one's movement. Before marriage, you are free to stay out,
achieving stuffs or catching fun but now one has to be conscious of
the fact that you are no longer alone.

How is your relationship with your colleagues?

I'm comfortable working with any of my colleagues, both junior and
senior. Once they've shown professionalism in what they know how to do
best, I try and maintain a professional working relationship with them
as well.

Most memorable role on the job?

I have done a lot of memorable roles, such as my characters in
Obakeye, Jemila, Street Girls, Olorire and a lot more.

Any role restriction?

I don't have any role restrictions, because every actor or actress
must be versatile, but our culture would also be put into
consideration when accepting roles. We cannot rule out our culture,
because our society frowns on some roles, believing that the Americans
that we try to emulate have their culture, while we have ours.

Background?

I'm a humble and easy going person, I hail from downtown of Lagos
(Isale Eko). I was born and raised in Lagos to the family of Prince
Babajide Kosoko and the late Sherifat Abimbola Kosoko. I'm the third
child of my parents and I'm a practising Christian.

Educational history?

I attended Methodist Primary School and Aje Comprehensive High School
both at Sabo, Yaba, Lagos before I proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo
University where I bagged a Bachelor's degree in Sociology.
