Jonathan Appoints Tony Anenih as Chairman of Nigeria Port Authority

Yesterday the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim
Pius Anyim on announced to the public that President Goodluck
Jonathan has approved with immediate effect the appointment of Chief
Tony Anenih 'always known as Mr,fix it ' as the new Chairman of the
Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority.


The former Minister of Works, who was indicted by the National
Assembly committee for mis-managing over N300 Billion, is said to be a
front-line contender for the post of Chairman Board of Trustees of the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) recently vacated by Chief Olusegun
Obasanjo.

Madonna threaten fans over smoking during concert

Ronaldo threatens to sue enemy for 'false news' reports

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has issued a threat to sue anyone
who publishes false information about his career and personal life.
The player as been subject to media scrutiny throughout his career,
but has now warned that he will no longer tolerate fictitious stories.


"Again there is news published about me that is false. I do not want
such nonsense to be published but if it does continue, I am going to
have a talk with my lawyers," he wrote on his Facebook page on
Thursday. Despite los Blancos' difficult start to the current Liga
season, Ronaldo has scored 23 goals in all competitions this term.

Nollywood Actress Nkiru Slvanus released! by Kidnappers

Fair skinned Nollywood actress Nkiru Slvanus who was kidnapped,
Monday, in Owerri has been released by her captors.


The Nollywood actress, who was kidnapped at 2.30pm, was only recently
re-deployed from the state Liaison Office in Lagos. She was reportedly
abducted close to the famous Concord Hotel, Owerri, in the company of
some of her friends.


Though details of the incident were still sketchy at press time, it
waslearnt that the abductors have established contact with her family
and have demanded a ransom of N100 million.
The incident could not be confirmed as repeated calls made to the
mobile phone of State Commisioner of Information, Chinedu Offor,
proved futile.


State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Vitalis Onugu, could also
not be reached for comments as his mobile phone could not be reached

Fat Joe Guilty of Tax Evasion

Rapper Fat Joe -- who's made millions cranking out hits like "What's
Luv" and "Make It Rain" -- just plead guilty to tax evasion ... after
failing to pay Uncle Sam a fortune in back taxes.


The 42-year-old rapper -- real name Joseph Cartagena -- was accused of
stiffing the federal government out of roughly $700k in income taxes
for 2007 and 2008. Joe -- who appeared in federal court in New Jersey
this morning to enter the plea -- was freed on a $250k bond. He's
scheduled to be sentenced in April and could get up to two years in
prison.

The Man United manager was happy after seeing his side drawn against
the record all-time European Cup winners, suggesting that he will be

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is looking forward to a
