Referee Mark Clattenburg stood down from next Premier League matches
as FA launches probe into racism claims....

Referee Mark Clattenburg has been stood down from the next round of
Premier League matches as the Football Association launches a formal
investigation into allegations he used "inappropriate language"
towards John Obi Mikel and Juan Mata during Chelsea's acrimonious
defeat to Manchester United.

Clattenburg was last night accused by the European champions of making
comments which are understood to have been interpreted as racist
during yesterday's Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

Jeff Winter believes referee Mark Clattenburg will be sacked if he is
found guilty of racially abusing Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel.

Chelsea issued a formal complaint to the Premier League via match
delegate Nick Cusack that Clattenburg used inappropriate language
toward two of their players during their controversial 3-2 defeat to
Manchester United at Stamford Bridge yesterday.

It is believed Mikel was the victim of a racist comment while Spain
midfielder Juan Mata was allegedly called a "Spanish t**t".
