LATEST WONDERS: 28 YEAR-OLD WOMAN STEALS BABY DURING VIGIL

Detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department
(SCID), Iyaganku have investigated the case of a 28-year-old lady, Ms
Kemi Adeoye, who was arrested by policemen from Sanyo Division for
stealing a baby in a church during a vigil service on Friday September
7, 2012.

The lady, according to police sources, had attended a church service
on the fateful day and had picked a baby where she had been laid while
her mother was praying in front of the altar. Please click to
continue.

After picking the baby, the lady had reportedly left for one of the
chalets within the church premises and locked herself in, after she
had put the baby on her back.
The mother had raised an alarm when she got back to her seat and
beheld an empty bed without her baby on it, a situation which caused
members who were at the vigil to halt the service while they trooped
out in search of the missing baby.

Simultaneously, a drama had ensued at the chalet area where one of the
church workers had noticed that there was an occupant in a chalet
which he had not allocated to anyone. Curious to know the occupant and
how he or she got the key, the workers was said to have knocked on the
door.

To his surprise, a voice from inside the room replied his enquiry on
the identity of the occupant with another question, asking who the man
was.

The door was said to have been forced open and a woman with a baby on
her back was discovered in the room. It was at that time that members
of the church searching for the baby got to where the chalets were,
only for the baby's mother to see that it was her baby the woman was
putting on her back.

The suspect was said to have been taken to the police station where
she told the police that she was sent by a woman to go and steal a
baby. She also told them that she had once taken a child from a CAC
church at Apete but could not say where she took the baby to.

Genevieve Nnaji Caught Smoking Cigarette

You sure have been intimidated about the 155-page Book, Nollywood
Till November authored by the prolific writer, actor, director and
producer, Charles Novia In one of the pages of the book published to
revealed behind the scenes of actors et all, he makes mention of a day
he caught the movie goddess, Genevieve Nnaji smoking a cigarette.

Novia reveals that it's a big shock to him. Hear him, "...I remember
on the third day of recording, one night while shooting at a clinic in
Victoria Garden City Extension, I came out for a bit of fresh air
while the technical people were setting up for the next scene. I saw
Genevieve in a dark corner of the building, smoking a cigarette.
'Whoops! You caught me', she said, laughing.

'You smoke?' I asked, a bit surprised. 'Now and then. It relaxes me '
she said. 'Do you smoke?' 'Never have. Never will. But I don't have
any problems with people who smoke though. But health wise, I hope you
stop soon.' I replied. 'I am trying to. Sit with me a bit, lets talk
about this scene.' I sat with her and I explained some few things to
her about the scene. We also talked about a bit of her stardom and how
she was coping with it. She was in a
chatty mood and it was a revealing conversation."

This will definitely shock a lot of Genevieve's fans too, the reason
is that, no one ever thought she smokes but that's actually not a big
deal, a lot of her colleagues do and they don't see
anything wrong in it, after all, everybody does it.

'Smokers are liable to die young,' I hope this surgeon advice would
make any meaning to them

John Terry quits international Football

Chelsea captain John Terry has retured from internation football with
England, with immediate effect, stating that the FA have made his
position in the team "untenable".

The 31-year-old defender is set to begin a personal hearing on Monday
to deny that he used "abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour"
against Anton Ferdinand in the match against QPR last October.

Terry has been cleared of a charge in a court of law, but faces the
FA's panel and has decided to curtail his international career.

"I feel The FA, have made my position with the national team
untenable," Terry said in a statement.

"Representing and captaining my country is what I dreamed of as a boy
and it has been a truly great honour.

"I have always given my all & it breaks my heart to make this
decision. I wish Roy and the team every success for the future."

"I would like to thank the England managers who have selected me for my 78 caps.

"I have had great pleasure in sharing that honour with all the players
that I've played with.

"I would like to thank them, the fans and my family for their support
and encouragement during my international career.

Terry made 78 appearances for the national team since making his debut
in 2003 against Serbia and Montenegro, and first captained the side in
a World Cup qualifier against Poland.

The Chelsea captain indicated that he is still willing to play for the
Blues in club football.

He added: "I now look forward to playing for Chelsea FC, and
challenging for domestic and European honours, and I want to thank the
fans and the club for their continued support."

soundcity, still a decent quality though. WIth a cameo appearance
from Mr. W4, 'Ihe Neme' is pretty much what
we thought it'll be from the Behind-The-Scenes photos all over the

Money-bags, Ministers of God pester me with sex –Tope Alabi

Tope Alabi is a pioneer of some sort in the contemporary Yoruba
gospel movement. Together with other gospel practitioners they have
"pushed the envelope" in redefining the boundaries of Gospel, by
blurring its ties to circular soundtracks. Make no mistake; God is
present in every song this beautiful wife and mother produce.

From the groundbreaking success of nine albums to how she manages her
male fans. The chat with EDIALE KINGSLEY is anything but boring.

WE are coming to another album launch, how has it beenso far? And the
journey to this particular album, how has it been?

I bless the name of the lord, for giving me this opportunity, for
taking me from mere clay to where I am today, I bless his holy name,
this is the 9th album, and this is not a launching, this is an
unveiling, we just want to unveil it, nobody is going to launch,

everybody is just going to pick their own, just give anything you
like, even #500 is not small, even 200naria is not too small, I just
want to bless God for taking me this far, it has been so
rough, tough and I have experienced a lot of things, turbulence,
if I can say, but yet bless the name of God, for making me stand up to
this present time.

Who writes your music?

God, He dictates for me, while write down.

How do you get inspiration?

It is God, God gives me the inspiration, and this is what I want to
tell my people this time around, like this Agbelebu, God gave me the
title. There is no way that I would write that God won't tell me the
title, I pray and do fasting; wait for God to talk, at times I would
be in the rest room, he will be talking to me, at times I would be
sleeping he would wake me up.

You look quite astonishing, you look young and beautiful, and do you
get people coming to pester you for arelationship?

There are some of them that wants to get to you by all means, whether
you want it or not, but when they get to me, they use tosee am not
that kind of person, they will now become a memberof my church. The
relationship is usually as if I have a churchand they are members, so
that's what they become. Among themare a lot of money bags, they help
my ministry now, they see meas prophetess, some of them even call me
pastor, even there are ministers of God that pester me and say they
want to get to me,but when they get to me and they see I'm not like
that, they change, you are there to change life.

Suicide bomber strikes Catholic church in north Nigeria; 2 killed, 45 injured

BAUCHI, Nigeria — A suicide car bomber attacked a Catholic church
conducting Mass in northern Nigeria on Sunday, killing two people and
wounding another 45 in a region under assault by a radical Islamist
sect, officials said.

An Associated Press journalist heard the explosion after 9 a.m. Sunday
in the city of Bauchi, which has seen a number of bombings and
shootings blamed on the sect known as Boko Haram. The blast appeared
to hit a parking lot alongside the St. John's Catholic Church in the
city.

Police and military surrounded the church and did not allow
journalists inside the cordon. Later at a nearby hospital, Bauchi
deputy police commissioner T. Stevens told journalists told that the
bomber had been stopped at the church's gate, where he detonated the
explosives packed inside his car.

Doctors cautioned more could die from their injuries.

"The situation has been brought under control," Stevens said. "We have
our men minding all areas."

Stevens said no group or individual had claimed responsibility for the
attack, though suspicion immediately fell on Boko Haram. The sect,
whose name means "Western education is sacrilege" in the Hausa
language of Nigeria's north, has been waging an increasingly bloody
fight against nation's weak central government. More than 680 people
have died in drive-by killings and bombings blamed on Boko Haram this
year alone, according to an AP count. The sect has demanded the
release of all its captive members and has called for strict Shariah
law to be implemented across the entire country.

The sect has used suicide car bombs against churches in the past, most
noticeably a 2011 Christmas Day attack on a Catholic church in Madalla
near Nigeria's capital. That attack and assaults elsewhere in the
country killed at least 44 people. An unclaimed car bombing on Easter
in Kaduna killed at least 38 people on a busy roadway after witnesses
say it was turned away from a church.

Attacks against churches by the sect have waned in recent weeks.
Nigeria's military claimed it killed the sect's spokesman and a
commander Sept. 17 outside the city of Kano, potentially shaking up a
sect that has continued attacks despite a tighter military presence in
northern cities.

The killing of members of the sect's senior leadership comes as the
group recently changed some of its tactics and attacked more than 30
mobile phone towers throughout northern Nigeria, disrupting
communications in a nation reliant on cellular phones.

Saturday night, the military conducted door-to-door searches in the
northern cities of Damaturu and Potiskum, areas now under a 24-hour
curfew that have been hard-hit by the sect.
